West Ham vs Tottenham: Prediction, team news, line-ups, start time, live, TV, head to head, odds - Premier League preview

Spurs seek to close Chelsea's title lead

Tottenham can close the gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea to just a single point with victory over West Ham on Friday night.
Spurs are on a run of nine consecutive league wins as they look to pip the Blues to title. But with Antonio Conte’s side facing a home fixture against Middlesbrough on Monday, that four-point advantage looks almost certain to be restored should Mauricio Pochettino’s side get the win.
But West Ham will be looking for revenge against Spurs.

The Hammers came closest to inflicting what would have been Tottenham’s only league defeat at White Hart Lane – only for Spurs to come back from 2-1 down in stoppage time to claim a 3-2 win in November.

START TIME

London Stadium will host this derby for the first time, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm on Friday May 5th.

TV AND LIVE ONLINE COVERAGE

The match will be televised on Sky Sports 1, but you can follow the match live right here via our London Football live blog.

TEAM NEWS

Mousa Dembele should return to the starting line-up having been left on the bench for the start of the north London derby following the ankle injury he sustained against Crystal Palace. Should the Belgian return to the side, Heung-min Son is most likely to make way.
Jan Vertonghen is expected to be fine despite picking up a knock against Arsenal, but Friday’s match will likely prove too soon for Danny Rose who continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Kyle Walker was also on the bench against Arsenal, and Pochettino may well stick with Trippier for Friday’s match.
West Ham are sweating over the fitness of several key players ahead of the clash with Spurs.
Andy Carroll is suffering with a groin strain, while Michail Antonio is also doubtful with a hamstring injury.
Angelo Ogbonna, Pedro Obiang and Diafra Sakho are also doubts.
Adrian should continue in goal ahead of Darren Randolph.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

West Ham XI: Adrian; Fonte, Reid, Collin; Fernandes, Kouyate, Nordveit, Masuaku; Lanzini; Ayew, Calleri
Tottenham XI: Lloris; Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen; Trippier, Wanyama, Dembele, Davies; Alli, Eriksen; Kane.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

PREDICTION

  • West Ham to win is priced at 7/1
  • Tottenham to win is priced at 2/5
