FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag
Netherlands – Eredivisie
Date: Friday, 24 January 2020
Kick-off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET
Venue: Stadion Galgenwaard (Utrecht).
Having a lead in the league table over the visitor will make Utrecht the favorite to win in the clash with Ado Den Haag at Galgenwaard.
  • FC Utrecht form: 19 matches – 9 wins – 3 draws – 7 losses – 30 points.
  • ADO Den Haag form: 19 matches – 4 wins – 4 draws – 11 losses – 16 points.
FC Utrecht is at the seventh position in the league while Den Haag is residing at the 16th in the relegation zone of the league table.

FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag Head-to-head (h2h)

  • The host has recorded four of the last five wins in their clashes.
  • Utrecht is unbeaten at home in their past eight fixtures.
  • Four of their last five matches held here had ended in a draw.
  • Their previous encounter awarded a 2-4 away win for Utrecht.

FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag Match preview

FC Utrecht was on the road in their previous league encounter against Zwolle. Both teams scored back to back three goals each in that nail-biting match which ended in a draw.
Den Haag, on the other hand, managed to take all three points against the team at the ultimate bottom, Waalwijk, with a 2-0 score on the board.

FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag Prediction

Having a 14 points lead over the opponent in the league table will certainly increase the morale of the players in the Utrecht squad. Besides that, the host has lost only two of their last five matches.
Along with that, Utrecht will be playing at home with the home ground advantage. Even so, they have shown a mixed form at home with 5 wins and 4 losses so far.
Apart from that, Utrecht has lost its last three consecutive home matches. But they have lost against teams like Feyenoord and Alkmaar above them in the league table.
In the meantime, Den Haag has recorded only two wins in their nine away games until now this league season.
As such, FC Utrecht will have a better opportunity to take all three points from the match with their current form in the campaign.

FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag Betting tips

  • FC Utrecht to win @ 1.40 (2/5).
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1.44 (4/9).

Neymar dedicates PSG goal to Kobe Bryant

Neymar dedicated his second goal in Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 win at Lille to basketball legend Kobe Bryant, whose death in a helicopter crash earlier on Sunday shocked the world, as his double shot the French champions 10 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
The world's most expensive player slotted home the 52nd-minute penalty and went over to television cameras by the side of the Stade Pierre Mauroy pitch to make the number 24 with his fingers in honour of Bryant's shirt number.
"It's deeply saddening for the world of sport and for all of us," said Neymar to Canal+ after the win, which put PSG 10 points clear at the top of the league.
"Not just for basketball fans, but for everything he did for sport."
He had already put his side ahead with a fine strike in the first half before putting the game out of reach and increasing the gap between them and second-placed Marseille.
His 12th league goal of the season tipped the balance in the Parisians' favour after a positive start for the home side, who were unbeaten at home ahead of the match.
The Brazilian almost immediately slipped through Mbappe but the onrushing Mike Maignan stopped the France World Cup winner from clinching his 14th top-flight effort of the campaign.
Mbappe was stopped again by Maignan when he got his body in the way of a fierce close-range effort, but the away side were given a penalty soon after for a clear Gabriel handball just before the forward's shot.
Neymar squeezed his spot-kick just beyond Maignan, who got his hand to the shot but looked on in horror as it made its way in off the post.
"We deserved to win, I think we played well," said PSG coach Thomas Tuchel.
"We controlled the match and counter-attacks and this is not easy to do against a good team like Lille."
Lille stay seventh after the defeat, two points away from the European places.
Neymar's tribute came on what was already an emotional day in French football, with Nantes and Bordeaux also honouring their former striker Emiliano Sala, a year after his death in a plane crash.
The clubs remembered Argentine forward Sala before the Derby de l'Atlantique at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
Bordeaux won 1-0 courtesy of a late goal by Jimmy Briand as Nantes played most the second half with 10 men after the dismissal of Andrei Girotto.
The 28-year-old Sala was killed last January when the small plane taking him to join Cardiff City after being bought from Nantes for £15 million ($19.5 million) crashed off the Channel island of Guernsey.
Nantes wore a special white and pale blue shirt inspired by Argentina while Bordeaux's kit featured an Argentine flag beneath the club crest flanked by the player's initials.
Proceeds from the sales of the strips will go to the two Argentine clubs Sala played for in his youth.
A portrait of Sala was also displayed in the centre circle during the warm-up and there was a minute's applause ahead of kick-off.
Supporters laid flowers outside the ground and broke out into a song commemorating Sala in the ninth minute, representing the shirt number worn by the player which has since been retired by Nantes.
Sala left his homeland to join Bordeaux in 2012 and then played for Nantes between 2015 and 2019.
Earlier Karl Toko Ekambi scored on his Lyon debut Sunday in a 3-0 victory over bottom club Toulouse.
Cameroon striker Toko Ekambi, who joined on loan this week from Villarreal until the end of the season, sealed the win six minutes later as Lyon climbed up to fifth in Ligue 1.
Toko Ekambi came on as a first-half substitute after a scary incident involving France Under-21 forward Martin Terrier.
Terrier was stretchered off after fainting on the pitch, but Lyon said at half-time the player had regained consciousness.

Real Madrid go top with gritty win over Valladolid

Real Madrid moved top of La Liga for the first time since October on Sunday after grinding out a 1-0 win away at Real Valladolid to make Barcelona pay for their surprise defeat to Valencia.
It is 16 weeks since Madrid last finished a round top of the pile and it looked like a scrappy contest at the Jose Zorilla would end goalless until Nacho headed in the winner with 12 minutes remaining.
Victory means Zinedine Zidane's side pull three points ahead of Barca, whose 2-0 loss away at the Mestalla on Saturday under new coach Quique Setien could prove a turning point in a nip-and-tuck title race.
Madrid now have the luxury of hosting their struggling city rivals Atletico Madrid, who are 10 points back after a goalless home draw with Leganes earlier on Sunday, with a cushion next weekend, not to mention on the back of a 19-game unbeaten run.
That streak included them drawing a game they arguably should have won at Camp Nou in December and then lifting the Spanish Super Cup earlier this month in Saudi Arabia.
As Barcelona pursue a more entertaining style of football under Setien, Madrid march on, gaining momentum with wins that based largely on solidity and a stubborn defence.
Their form has been even more impressive given the absence of key players, with Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale starting only four times together this season.
Real Valladolid, who are owned by the former Brazil and Real Madrid striker Ronaldo, are being drawn into a relegation fight after winning only one of their last 12. They stay 16th, five points above the bottom three.
Valladolid's Joaquin Fernandez was lucky not to be sent off early on for a two-footed challenge on Rodrygo, which only earned him a yellow card, despite the protests of Madrid's players.
Casemiro thought he had scored when he nodded in at the back post but VAR showed him to have been just offside and Valladolid arguably finished the first half the stronger.
Thibaut Courtois made a good save to deny Michel and then had to backpeddle to prevent Raul Garcia's cross dropping in under his crossbar.
After a scrappy opening 45 minutes, Madrid improved in the second period as the lively Rodrygo tested Jordi Masip and Benzema twice should have scored.
First, he failed to volley in an excellent Isco cross from close range and then rose high to meet Rodrygo's delivery but headed wide of the post.
Valladolid were retreating and, in the 78th minute, Madrid struck. Toni Kroos' corner was cleared back out to him and at the second time of asking, he picked out Nacho, who diverted a smart header into the far corner.
Nacho ran over to Zidane on the touchline to hug his coach.
There was a late siege as Valladolid came again in the final minutes, the stadium erupting after Sergi Guardiola tapped in at the back post. But his outstretched right foot was offside, and Madrid breathed a sigh of relief.

Nice vs Rennes Prediction & Match Preview

Nice vs Rennes
France – Ligue 1
Date: Friday 24th January 2020
Kick off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: Allianz Riviera (Nice).
Nice come into this game in 11th place but with the league being so close a win on Friday evening could take the club into the top six. Form is good with two draws and two wins and they haven’t lost a game since the beginning of December when they were defeated 4-1 by Saint Etienne.
At home Patrick Vieira’s side have won 60% of their games and have the 6th best home record in the league. They have been really impressive at home lately winning their last 3 games in a row and scoring 10 goals in that time.
Rennes are in 3rd place with 36 points and they are having a great season so far. They have moved 4 points clear of Nantes and this position could mean qualifying for the Champions League which would be a fantastic opportunity for the club. Their last league match ended in a 1-0 win over Nimes. They are just 5 points behind 2nd placed Marseille and that will be the objective to catch the club and qualify for the Champions League proper.
Rennes are in excellent form away from home having won their last 3 games in a row. All of those results ended with the same score line of 1-0 and that includes beating quality like Lyon.

Nice vs Rennes: Head to Head

  • Last season Nice won this game 2-1.
  • Rennes have not beaten Nice since 2016 going back 9 games.
  • There is a 60% chance to see over 2.5 goals.

Nice vs Rennes: Prediction

This match has the potential to be very exciting as both teams are in sold form. Nice have dipped a little this season, but they will understand how important this game is and they have the chance to break into the top 10.
We are going to back the home team to get the win as Rennes do not have a great record over them.
This could be quite an entertaining game and we will also back both teams to find the back of the net as they go in search of all three points.
Expect an open match and a very enjoyable one.

Nice vs Rennes: Bet Tips:

  • Nice to beat Rennes at 2.63 (13/8)
  • Both teams to score at 1.91 (10/11).

Osasuna vs Levante Prediction & Match Preview

Osasuna vs Levante
Spain – LaLiga
Date: Friday, 24 January 2020
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio El Sadar (Pamplona).
Osasuna have been alternating between draws and defeats in their last four games here. However, with Levante struggling to come out on top away from home, a change in fortune is certainly on the cards for the hosts this Friday.

Osasuna vs Levante Head to head (h2h)

  • Their last clash ended in a 1-1 draw.
  • All but one of their past five meetings have featured fewer than 2.5 goals on the charts.
  • Both teams have found the back of the net together in just one of their previous five games.
  • The final scores have been tied twice in their last ten fixtures.
  • Levante have registered the win four times in their past ten encounters. (W-4, D-2, L-4)

Osasuna vs Levante Prediction

Osasuna salvaged a point for the second time on the trot, after Real Valladolid managed to hold them to a stalemate last week. The hosts were much the better side in that latter clash though, and finished the ninety minutes with a whopping twenty-one shots at goal, as opposed to their foes who took no more than five.
It is also worth mentioning that the home team have now stumbled just twice in their past six clashes in the La Liga.
On the other hand, Levante will be making the trip to Estadio El Sadar on the back of a dismal two-match losing streak. Their most recent matchup, in particular, witnessed Deportivo Alaves edge past them with a 1-0 scoreline at home.
Piling on even more misery, Levante have been at the losing end in seven of their previous ten outings. They have secured the bragging rights just once in their last six visits to this venue as well.
Furthermore, Osasuna are yet to stumble at home against a side outside the top ten. As such, count on the hosts to pick up all three points in this one.
Additionally, Osasuna have found the back of the net more times on home soil than on the road this season. Impressively, sixteen of the twenty-six goals for them so far have come from their clashes here.
Meanwhile, Levante have been far too easy to breach in their outings. The fact that they have conceded nineteen goals as of now certainly stands as a testament to the aforementioned.
Taking into account that six of the last ten games at this stadium have also been high scoring affairs, it is certainly well within reason to expect over 2.5 goals on the final scorecards this week.

Osasuna vs Levante Betting tips

  • Osasuna to win @ 1.90 (9/10)
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1.70 (7/10).

Brescia vs AC Milan Prediction & Match Preview

Brescia vs AC Milan
Italy – Serie A
Date: Friday, 24 January 2020
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Mario Rigamonti (Brescia).
The visitors are on fire even since they shifted to 4-4-2 formation that brings the best out of Rafael Leao, Zlatan’s partner up-front, and Ante Rebic is looking to rediscover his Frankfurt form.

Brescia vs AC Milan: Head-to-head (h2h)

  • Overall Stats (21 games): Brescia 1 Win, AC Milan 12 Wins, 8 Draws.
  • Brescia have 1-4-5 home record vs AC Milan.
  • The Rossoneri are on a seven-game winning streak against Brescia.
  • Milan have scored two goals or more in five of the last seven H2H meetings.
  • Three goals or more have been scored in five of their last seven encounters.

Brescia vs AC Milan: Match Preview

The Rondinelle ended their two-game losing spell, but their winless stretch is now extended to five matches following a 2-2 draw against an out-of-sorts Sardinians.
Midfield maestro Sandro Tonali came back with a bang as he provided both assists for Ernesto Torregrossa’s brace, but their defence continue to struggle as they conceded two goals or more in four of the last five league outings.
Eugenio Corini’s team is still in the danger zone, one point behind 17th-placed Lecce.
Brescia have earned just five points from ten games at Mario Rigamonti this season, netting 1.10 goals per bout, whilst shipping goals at an alarming rate – 2.10 per match.
There are no reported injuries, but Mario Balotelli (15 games, 5 goals) is banned.
After beating Cagliari (2-0) at the Sardegna Arena and SPAL (3-0) in the Coppa Italia, AC Milan went on to record their third consecutive win across competitions as they took down an in-form Udinese 3-2 thanks to Ante Rebic’s stoppage-time winner.
As a result, the Rossoneri climbed up to 8th place on the ladder, just two points off of a Europa League spot and ten points behind fourth-placed Roma. Stefano Pioli’s men will be looking to stretch their winning run on Friday.
AC Milan have recorded five wins and five draws away from home, averaging Brescia’s numbers – 1.10 goals scored per match and conceding slighty more – 1.30, in return.
Leo Duarte (5/0), Lucas Biglia (7/0) and Davide Calabria (13/0) are on the treatment table; Musacchio (16/0) and Calhanoglu (18/2) will be evaluated before the game.

Brescia vs AC Milan: Predicted Starting Lineups

Brescia (4-3-1-2): Joronen – Mateju, Sabelli, Chancellor, Cistana – Romulo, Bisoli, Tonali – Skrabb – Torregrossa, Donnarumma.
AC Milan (4-4-2): Gianluigi Donnarumma – Hernandez, Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli – Bonaventura, Castillejo, Kessie, Bennacer – Leao, Ibrahimovic.

Brescia vs AC Milan: Prediction

The visitors are on fire even since they shifted to 4-4-2 formation that brings the best out of Rafael Leao, Zlatan’s partner up-front, and Ante Rebic is looking to rediscover his Frankfurt form.
The Rossoneri have won three of their last four away games and I will back them to extend their winning streak.
Brescia have lost seven of their ten home games this season and managed to get on the scoresheet against the big dogs. They have lost 1-2 to Inter, Juventus and Lazio at the Mario Rigamonti and I expect similar result on Friday, so let’s go with Over 2.5 goals as well.

Brescia vs AC Milan: Betting Tips

  • AC Milan to Win @ 1.82
  • Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.84.

Erling Haaland came, saw and conquered on his Bundesliga debut, scoring a hat-trick in just 23 minutes from the bench in an eight-goal thriller and huge 3-5 comeback at Augsburg.
Die Borussen aren’t giving up hope in the title race; sitting fourth following first Bundesliga round of 2020, seven points behind league leaders Leipzig, Favre’s men are still in the running though they must work on their consistency and bloody awful away form.
In front of their Great Yellow Wall, The BVB are yet to be defeated. With 26 goals scored, they’re second best home team in Germany; with just 9 goals conceded, they’re tied with greatest defenses of Bundesliga. All that with game or two in hand.
Jhon Cordoba struck twice with Jonas Hector also getting on the scoresheet as Cologne continued their recent revival with their fourth victory in a row, 3-1 beating of Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.
Having won just eight points up till the beginning of December, everyone expected Koln to go down to second division, but Gisdol’s men responded in spectacular fashion, winning against all odds v Leverkusen which kickstarted their uprising and right now they are at 13th, three points off Bremen and relegation places.
The Billy Goats don’t do well outside of RheinEnergieStadion, having managed just two wins and a draw from nine games but the Billy Goats did win on their last road trip after being 2-nill down at Frankfurt.
Dan-Axel Zagadou and Thomas Delaney are close to return for Favre’s side, with Marcel Schmelzer being an unknown but all three most likely won’t be in contention for Friday’s clash.
Lasse Sobiech, Matthias Bader and Christian Clemens are slowly getting up to speed, but neither is deemed fit enough and won’t play against Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund vs FC Koln: Prediction

Both sides were the contestants in some of the most ridiculous score-lines this season, especially Borussia so this game should be another entertaining two hours of football. With that in mind, I’d recommend you go with goals in the second half. It’s becoming Dortmund’s trademark for all hell to break loose after the break, so I expect similar scenario in Friday’s game.
Borussia at Westfalen, in front of their own fans, with all that attacking potency equals goals. Just twice this season The BVB games here ended with fewer than four goals scored and with Koln being calamitous on the road v big sides, we can once more expect goals galore.
