Dhaka: Two dramatic late goals earned 10-men Abahani Limited Dhaka of Bangladesh their first points of the 2017 AFC Cup with a 2-0 victory over India's JSW Bengaluru at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
When the hosts' Nasir Chowdhury had been sent off with 10 minutes remaining, visitors Bengaluru had appeared in a commanding position to claim all three points prior to Abahani’s late show.
With just three minutes left on the clock, Saad Uddin poked home to open the scoring before Rubel Miya doubled his side’s lead in injury time with Bengaluru goalkeeper Amrinder Singh caught up the pitch.
The result gives Abahani their first points of this year’s competition, while Bengaluru remain top of the group on nine points from four matches.
