Honved vs Debrecen Prediction & Match Preview

Budapest Honved vs Debrecen
Hungary – NB I
Date: Sunday, 31 May 2020
Kick-off at 17:55 UK/18:55 CET
Venue: Hidegkuti Nandor stadion (Budapest).
Honved was unsuccessful in the last two times Debrecen paid them a visit at this venue. Having a slightly better record this season, the host will aim for revenge in the clash, as the favorites.
  • Honved form: 25 matches – 9 wins – 7 draws- 9 losses- 34 points.
  • Debrecen form: 25 matches – 9 wins – 3 draws – 13 losses – 30 points.

Honved vs Debrecen Head-to-head (h2h)

  • Two of the recent three meetings have ended in a draw.
  • Both teams have scored in the prior three fixtures.
  • Their previous encounter resulted in a 1-1 draw.
  • The host is winless at home in five of the last six matches.
  • The visitor has recorded four of the last five wins.

Honved vs Debrecen Prediction

Honved is on the back of a four-point lead over the visitors in the league table. With just two losses in the past five clashes in the schedule, the Mighty Magyars might be ready to hold the guest.
They were at home in their previous encounter in the campaign. Istvan Pisont and his men lost to Kisvarda with a 1-5 score on the board.
Debrecen suffered lots of losses recently, four losses in their last five league matches to be exact. This sudden dip in form will affect them, especially when playing away from home.
The Loki is on a two-game losing streak, following a 2-1 loss on the road against Ferencvaros in their prior clash in the league.
From these stats, the chance of the game ending in a draw is alive. So, the safest tip in the clash for the punters will be a double chance. Since the home team has a slight edge, it will be safer to favor them at 1.50 odds in the encounter.
Debrecen cannot be written off, and hence we can expect a fightback in ninety minutes. Hence, a BTTS with 1.57 odds will be a suitable option for the punters.

Honved vs Debrecen Betting tips

  • Double chance: Budapest Honved or Draw @ 1.50 (1/2).
  • Both teams to score @ 1.57 (4/7).

Esbjerg fB vs AaB Prediction & Match Preview

Esbjerg fB vs AaB
Denmark – Superleague
Date: Sunday, 31 May 2020
Kick-off at 17:00 UK/ 18:00 CET
Venue: Blue Water Arena (Esbjerg).
Jacob Friis’s men are in possession of the final playoff spot to the Champions League, and have a lead of three points as well. However, they are being chased by Randers, who have a game in hand. As such, Friis’s men have no option but to win this Sunday. Considering that they are taking on Lars Olsen’s men from the bottom-most tier, an AaB win is expected.

Esbjerg fB vs AaB Head-to-head (h2h)

  • The last time these two met, Friis’s men won 4-0.
  • Olsen’s men have conceded four or more goals in the previous two games.
  • Seven of the prior twelve wins were registered by Friis’s men.
  • Six of the last seven match-ups at this stadium saw the guests scoring two or more goals.
  • In the last eleven years, the hosts have recorded a total of two league wins at this ground.

Esbjerg fB vs AaB Prediction

Olsen’s men are on a five-game winless run, and they were so in 13 of their previous 14 overall games as well. Keep note that the team had also lost ten of these fourteen match-ups. Also, in the past twelve-month period, the team have managed to post just three wins at this stadium.
On the other hand, their counterparts have lost just once all through 2020, and since September of last year, they have been defeated just three times in total. On the road, they were unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 fixtures, and the sole loss had come against Copenhagen – one of the best teams in Denmark.
Going on, Friis’s men had also recorded a 4-0 win in the reverse fixture, and they have scored a total of eight goals from the past two such meetings. Finally, at this venue, the guests have lost just two league games since 2009, and have scored two or more goals in six of their prior seven h2h encounters.
Considering these observations, it’s deduced that Aab are about to deliver a winning performance this weekend.

Esbjerg fB vs AaB Betting Tips

  • Draw No Bet: Aab @ 1.44 (4/9)
  • Aab to Win Either Half @ 1.60 (3/5).

Karvina vs Sparta Prague Prediction & Match Preview

Karvina vs Sparta Prague
Czech Republic – 1. Liga
Date: Sunday, 31 May 2020
Kick-off at 17:00 UK/ 18:00 CET
Venue: Town Stadium Karvina (Karvina).
Juraj Jarabek’s men may not have that big of a stature as that of the Maroons, but they surely are on better form at the moment. In fact, the latter are winless in their last five league fixtures, while Jarabek’s men are unbeaten in their past five such games. As such, expect Karvina to avoid a loss at the very least this Sunday.

Karvina vs Sparta Prague Head-to-head (h2h)

  • Three of the previous four games had goals from both teams.
  • The last three match-ups had three or more goals.
  • Not once have Jarabek’s men kept a clean sheet against this opponent.
  • 100% of matches at this venue have had goals from both teams.
  • The guests have a 100% unbeaten record at this ground.

Karvina vs Sparta Prague Prediction

Jarabek’s men are on an unbeaten run of ten matches, and they had scored a total of 16 goals from their past eight fixtures, while keeping clean sheets in eight of their preceding ten games. At home, they had won four of the last five appearances, and are on an unbeaten run of eleven match-ups at this stadium.
On the other hand, the Maroons are on a winless run of five match-ups in the league, and they have had a total of five wins away from home in the prior twelve-month period.
Considering these observations, it’s concluded that Karvina should avoid a defeat this Sunday. However, note that the Maroons have been one of the best teams in the competition for a very long time, and they have a great h2h record against this opponent.
Importantly, not once have they lost against them at this venue, and not once have they failed to score against them in any match. As such, we could count on goals to come from both sides of the pitch this game week.

Karvina vs Sparta Prague Betting Tips

  • Double Chance: Karvina or Draw @ 2.00 (1/1)
  • Both Teams to Score @ 2.00 (1/1).

Rukh Brest vs Dynamo Brest Prediction & Match Preview

Rukh Brest vs Dynamo Brest
Belarus – Premier League
Date: Sunday, 31 May 2020
Kick-Off at 18:00 UK/ 19:00 CET
Venue: Stadyen DASK Brestski (Brest).
There is only one point between these two sides. The hosts are 7th in the table with 3 wins and 2 defeats in 10 matches. They are slow in scoring goals with just 8 goals in the matches so far. But just 6 goals have been conceded which makes them one of the best defenses in the league. In their first season in the Premier League, they have done pretty well so far.
The defending champions need to up their game to get back into the title race. They are just 8 points away from the top of the table. Currently, they are on a losing streak of 2 games which makes it three defeats in the last 5 matchdays.

Rukh Brest vs Dynamo Brest: Head-to-head (h2h)

  • The only head to head match between them was a Cup game back in July 2019.
  • Dynamo won the match with a final score of 0-1.

Rukh Brest vs Dynamo Brest: Prediction

The reigning champs have lost both their previous league fixtures. Both of those matches were against the toppers of the table- BATE, and Energetik-BGU. They have lost half of their league games so far and conceded 13 goals in the process. Two of these defeats came away from home which makes this upcoming game a problem for them.
Rukh has scored very few goals in home matches compared to their results on the road. So I guess we may not see both teams getting in the score sheet.
The hosts have done pretty well in their first season in the top tier. They have some important results in past weeks including the away draws against Slutsk and Zhodino. So I am backing a double chance for a draw or the hosts winning.

Rukh Brest vs Dynamo Brest: Betting Tips

  • Double Chance: Draw or Rukh Brest @ 1.91 (10/11).
  • Both teams to score: No @ 1.80 (4/5).

Paderborn vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction & Match Preview

Paderborn vs Borussia Dortmund
Germany – Bundesliga
Date: Sunday, 31 May 2020
Kick-off at 17:00 UK/ 18:00 CET
Venue: Benteler Arena.
Dortmund are almost certain to end up runners-up at the end of the season, just below the Bavarians, while Steffen Baumgart’s men are almost sure of getting the boot to the lower division.
Keep note that they had gained entry into the top flight just at the end of the last season. By all means, expect a win for the visitors this Sunday.

Paderborn vs Borussia Dortmund Head-to-head (h2h)

The Black and Yellows are unbeaten in the last 4 h2h meetings with Paderborn (2W, 2D), netting a whooping 19 goals in the process.
The teams played a thrilling 3-3 draw when they met at the Signal Iduna Park earlier this season. Bvb were 3-0 down by half time, a flurry of goals at the dying moments saved the former champions from humiliation.
Dortmund’s last to the stadium was in 2014, for Bundesliga round of 12 fixture, also a thriller that ended 2-2.

Paderborn vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction

Baumgart’s men were held to a goalless draw the last match-day on the road, by Augsburg. Both teams exhausted their full set of available substitutions, and still could not find that elusive winning goal.
Meanwhile, the mean in black and yellow hosted arch-rivals Bayern Munich in one of the most important games of their campaign. In a must-win fixture, the famed Der BVb failed to show up, and the defending champions recorded a 0-1 win. The victory almost ensured that the Bavarians would add another title to their cabinet.
As things stand, Dortmund are the overwhelming favorites for the day. They are easily the second-best team in the country, and they have the stats to back the claim as well. At present, they are placed second in the table, and have scored the second-most number of goals – 74 goals from 28 league fixtures.
On the other hand, Baumgart’s men are placed dead-last in the table, and need to make up a deficit of nine points from the remaining six match-ups, to avoid relegation. However, they have secured a total of 19 points from their 28 games. They are also severely inexperienced in this top flight, as they were promoted to this league just this past summer.
Moreover, Der BVB have a 100% unbeaten record against this opponent, and have scored a total of 19 goals from the previous four h2h clashes. They have also scored two or more goals in all h2h fixtures so far, and won the latest h2h encounter at this venue 1-6.
Considering these observations, it’s estimated that Borussia Dortmund are about to record a huge win this Sunday.

Paderborn vs Borussia Dortmund Betting Tips

  • Borussia Dortmund to Score in First Half @ 1.44 (4/9)
  • Half Time/ Full Time: Dortmund/Dortmund @ 1.90 (9/10).

Hussein Yasser talks Man City, Man United experiences

Former Zamalek and Al Ahly winger  talked about his experience with  and  and revealed the advice Guardiola gave him during his time with the Citizens.
A product of Qatari side Al-Khor’s academy, Elmohamady joined Premier League giants Manchester United in 2002 coming from Al-Rayyan as a 20-year-old after impressing in his home country.
However, his spell with the Red Devils was cut short as he spent two years on loan at Belgium Royal Antwerp, where he made 35 appearances before signing for Cypriot side AEL Limassol and then Al-Sadd in Qatar.
The Qatari international then returned to England where he joined Manchester City, after an unfruitful six-month spell he returned to Al-Sadd.
Talking to Planet Football, Elmohamady revealed why he didn’t succeed in the Premier League and how they neglected him during his loan spell.
“United didn’t really give us the attention. They weren’t there to really follow us or the club or anything. Maybe they were just getting some reports,” he said.
“It wasn’t beneficial, because Antwerp — or any club you deal with — they think ‘If [the loanees] do well here then [the parent club] will take them or put them somewhere else, and then actually we don’t have anything to do with them; they’re not our players.
“I asked United if I could make a [loan] to a better club. I thought, ‘I’ve been two years in Belgium, I think I’m too far from United, from the league.’

“I said: ‘Let me have a look for somewhere else because I think it’s not the right place for me, playing for a club who is playing relegation football, struggling to stay in the league,”
The 37-year-old then discussed his time in the Blue side of Manchester and why he didn’t succeed there.
“Benarbia was the reason I went from Cyprus to Al Sadd, and then to Man City,” Yasser continued.
“But I didn’t sign just [because of him]. I had a trial. I did very well. I scored against Macclesfield in my first match after only two days’ training.
“Stuart [Pearce, City’s manager at the time] decided to sign me after three days.
“For me it was another new experience, playing with a big team, with big names like Andy Cole and Robbie Fowler. I used to see them playing when I was a kid.
“But it wasn’t really shocking to me, because I’d trained at United with Neville, Forlan, Keane… I had been there when I was younger.”

“I only played one game, 70 minutes, with Pearce. [He gave] Stephen Ireland the chance again and again and again… I didn’t get the same chance.
“When I think about it now, Pearce wasn’t the right type of coach for me, for my style of playing. He liked tackles and long balls,” he added.
Elmohamady then disclosed the advice  gave him, while the Spaniard was on the verge of signing for Manchester City as well.
“That’s what Guardiola told me when we were together. He said, ‘You will never play here.’
“When I asked him why, he said ‘Because they play a long ball to Cole or to Vassell from Danny Mills or David James. If I play here, if you play here, we’ll have no chance to touch the ball because they only want this way of playing,” he concluded.

Elmohamady then became somewhat of a journey man playing in Portugal for SC Braga and Boavista before joining both Cairo giants Al Ahly and Zamalek, where he’s most remembered among Egyptian fans as he almost led the Whites to their 12th league title.

K-League wrap: Jeonbuk falls, stays first after Ulsan draw

Just three points separate first and seventh after another unpredictable week in South Korean soccer.

An early red card helped send Jeonbuk from the ranks of the unbeaten, but the leaders kept their spot atop the table when Gwangju frustrated Ulsan.
Gangwon 1-0 Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
A last-man back foul on Jeong-ho Hong in the 15th-minute put the visitors in a bad place, and Gangwon got all it needed to move into fifth when Mu-yeol Ko nabbed a goal in the 37th.
The goal was set-up by a nice cut and cross from Keyong-jung Kim, who sent Ko a terrific invitation for the match’s lone marker (2:17 of the video below).
Gwangju 1-1 Ulsan Hyundai
This, however, was the surprise result of the weekend.
The hosts entered with three losses to open the season and Ulsan would’ve known a table lead was within its grasp if it could collect all three points.
Ulsan dominated the match with 76 percent possession and a 20-9 advantage in shots, but was behind after a dozen minutes on Wong-sang Eom’s opener. Eom was calm when his clever pass to Felipe Silva ended up back on his path.
A dangerous cross that took a tricky turn for an own goal turned out to be Ulsan’s only route onto the scoreboard, and the 1-1 draw keeps them a point back of Jeonbuk.
