Lok. Moskau: Guilherme, Ignatjev, Höwedes, Corluka, Kvirkvelia, Rybus, Krychowiak, Barinov, Al. Miranchuk, An. Miranchuk, Eder
Bayer 04: Hradecky, L. Bender, Tah, S. Bender, Wendell, Aranguiz, Demirbay, Amiri, Diaby, Volland, Alario

Bayern will den Gruppensieg fixieren

Crvena Zvezda: Borjan, Gobeljic, Degenek, Milunovic, Rodic, Petrovic, Jovancic, Marin, van La Parra, Garcia, Boakye
FC Bayern: Neuer, Pavard, Martinez, Boateng, Davies, Kimmich, Thiago, Goretzka, Coutinho, Coman, Lewandowski

Leipzig will in die K.O.-Runde

RB Leipzig: Gulacsi, Klostermann, Ilsanker, Ampadu, Halstenberg, Demme, Laimer, Forsberg, Sabitzer, Poulsen, Werner
SL Benfica: Vlachodimos, Almeida, Ruben Dias, Jardel, Grimaldo, Florentino, Samaris, Pizzi, Gedson, Chiquinho, de Tomas

FC Barcelona: ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Lenglet, Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Busquets, Arthur, de Jong, Messi, Griezmann, Suarez

Bor. Dortmund: Bürki, Piszczek, Hummels, Akanji, Guerreiro, Weigl, Witsel, Hakimi, Hazard, Sancho, Reus

Galatasaray vs Club Brugge Prediction & Match Preview

Galatasaray vs Club Brugge
Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 26 November 2019
Kick-off at 17:55 UK / 18:55 CET
Venue: Türk Telekom Stadyumu (Istanbul).
Home advantage is yet to work its charm for Galatasaray in their Champions League campaign this season. Nevertheless, with Club Brugge arguably the weakest of the lot in Group A, the hosts certainly have every reason to have their hopes up on Tuesday.

Galatasaray vs Club Brugge Head to head (h2h)

  • Their last clash ended as a stalemate.
  • Galatasaray have not registered a win against this foe in their previous three matchups. (W-0, D-2, L-1)
  • Both teams have found the back of the net together just once in their previous three meetings.
  • Two out of their last three fixtures have featured fewer than 2.5 goals on the charts.

Galatasaray vs Club Brugge Prediction

Galatasaray are yet to ensure consistency in their clashes this season and have just two wins to boast of from their last five games in all competitions. The hosts have slumped to the bottom of the ladder in Group A as well and are sporting no more one measly point to their name from their fixtures so far.
It is also worth mentioning that Galatasaray have been alternating between wins and draws in their previous four encounters on home soil. Their last clash here saw them pick up a 2-0 win over Rizespor in the league. Prior to this, Los Blancos edged past them with a narrow 1-0 scorecard.
On the other hand, Club Brugge are currently sitting third on the table, albeit with a slender one-point cushion. The visitors however have been at the losing end in their previous two outings in a running, one of which was at the hands of PSG by a 1-0 scoreline.
Furthermore, Galatasaray have been a much more confident bunch in the comforts of their home this season, and have not stumbled so far in their domestic campaign. Their only two defeats so far came against PSG and Real Madrid, both by narrow 1-0 scorecards.
Moreover, their only previous h2h meeting at this venue saw both teams share the spoils after the clash finished as a stalemate. Given that the two were inseparable in the reverse fixture of this matchup as well, the safest punt would have to be a double chance, backing Galatasaray.
Additionally, the hosts have been hard to breach in the comforts of their home. They have conceded just five goals from their last seven fixtures here. Taking into account that two of their previous three h2h meetings overall have also featured fewer than 2.5 goals on the charts, expect goals to be scarce in this one.

Galatasaray vs Club Brugge Betting tips

  • Double chance: Galatasaray or Draw @ 1.40 (1/2)
  • Under 2.5 goals @ 2.00 (1/1).

Despite low temperatures, Lokomotiv Moscow expect hot fight against Bayer Leverkusen

Despite low temperatures, Lokomotiv Moscow expect hot fight against Bayer Leverkusen

So close, and yet so far. When set in contrast to last season’s sluggish, unimaginative and feeble Champions League campaign, this group stage has been a breath of fresh air for Lokomotiv Moscow in terms of performance. Taking the lead in Turin against the omnipotent Old Lady and controlling large portions of the return in a chilly Moscow before a sublime added time solo goal from Douglas Costa sent a real message to the supposed powerbrokers of Group D. Opening up with an unexpected win away to Bayer Leverkusen set the tone for a more positive season. And yet Yuriy Semin’s men came away from their Juventus doubleheader with nothing, and remain on just three points after four games.
There is huge encouragement to be taken from the manner in which they have taken the game to their far more seasoned European opponents, especially with a significant portion of their attacking stars out injured or suspended. Grzegorz Krychowiak has been a key factor in their improved showings, not just through his goals from midfield, but for his leadership. With him anchoring the base of the midfield alongside Dmitri Barinov, there has been a new kind of confidence to the forward runs and interconnectivity of his more naturally advanced teammates. Last campaign, there was a little to get excited about on paper or on the pitch against far inferior opposition.

League distractions are a common scourge of continental duties. With Zenit St. Petersburg so comfortably in the lead at the top of the Russian Premier League but the rest of the top five so close behind, the pressure is firmly on. Or at least one would assume so. With this the second consecutive Champions League appearance after 14 years outside the competition the temptation is considerable to be satisfied with simply repeating the trick and receiving all the welcome riches that come with it, rather than focussing on a title challenge. The significance of extending the European adventure is central to being able to attract a higher calibre of player – or keep the stars they have.
Bayer Leverkusen have a torturous relationship with Europe’s premier competition. Over the turn of the century, they finished runners up in the Bundesliga four times and started to become regular members of the exclusive and newly expanded cabal of the continent’s elite. On their debut in 1997/98 they were knocked out by the eventual winners Real Madrid, before losing out on goal difference in the group stages two years later. A season later saw them lose twice to Real again despite scoring five goals in their two group stage games before one of the most iconic individual goals in European Cup final history from Zinedine Zidane in 2002 once more denied Leverkusen.
That season saw arguably their most talented group of players reach the pinnacle of the club’s achievement. Soon after it was broken up and the nearly men of German and European football slid away from the forefront of the Champions League frontrunners. This season is their eighth campaign at the top level since that balletic swivel from Real Madrid’s elegant playmaker and it is hard to say there has been much progress. Peter Bosz has presided over a dreadful season amidst numerous calls for a replacement to be found. The shock win over Atlético Madrid in the last round of group-stage matches was only their second win in eight games in all competitions, while in the Bundesliga they have slipped to ninth in the table.
Sporting director Rudi Völler was quietly confident of his side putting up a “hot fight” in Moscow however, knowing that anything other than a win will leave their fate out of their hands. “I’m optimistic we can handle this,” he said to the media after the 1-1 draw against fourth-placed Freiburg at the weekend. “But, of course, it will be a hard fight on a difficult run. But if we play as well as against Freiburg, we also have a good chance in Russia.” With just three points separating them from the Champions League places in the Bundesliga and a mathematical chance of still qualifying out of their group, perhaps there is a slither of hope for Leverkusen.
Lokomotiv Moscow vs Leverkusen – Players to Watch
Aleksey Miranchuk #59 – Lokomotiv Moscow
In his twin brother’s absence, Aleksey has resumed his role as the leading creator in the injury-hit forward line for Lokomotiv Moscow. This season Yuriy Semin has had to break the mold of his usual disciplined approach to attacking opponents to fit his key players into a functioning unit. At the age of 23, Miranchuk already classes as a senior member of this side given the experience he has developed. His composed, goalscoring performances home and away against Juventus have sparked rumours of him being the latest Russian star to venture to a grander stage. For now though, with his twin back by his side, Miranchuk will provide the majority of the impetus from Lokomotiv’s attacking possession.

Kevin Volland #31  – Bayer Leverkusen
Kevin Volland has been the top striker for the 2002 semi-finalists. Struggling in a group that contains Juventus and Atletico Madrid is hardly a surprise or embarrassment for most clubs, but last round it was Volland’s goal that gave Leverkusen some hope. The 27-year-old son of former hockey professional Andreas Volland has scored seven goals and four assists in 18 competitive games. Not a typical number nine, Volland’s low gravity highlights his past in ice hockey. Quick on the turn and extremely robust, he interprets the all-out striker role almost like a winger. If he plays as the lone striker as expected, then Lokomotiv will have a job on their hands to keep him quiet.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen
Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 26 October 2019
Kick-off at 17:55 UK / 18:55 CET
Venue:  RZD Arena (Moscow).
Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping to pick up back to back wins in the Champions League this week, as they lock horns with a Lokomotiv Moscow side, who have been struggling to get things going for them in recent games.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen Head to head (h2h)

Their only recent meeting was the reverse fixture of this clash which Lokomotiv Moscow won 2-1.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen Prediction

Lokomotiv Moscow are on a poor run of form at the moment, both in their domestic campaign and in the Champions League. The hosts are currently sitting third in Group D, just above Bayer Leverkusen, albeit only on goal difference, with no more than three points to their name.
It is also worth mentioning that home advantage has not been working its charm for the Russian outfit in their recent matchups. Their last clash here saw them register no more than a 1-1 draw against Krasnodar.
The squad have admitted defeat in three of their past five games on home soil as well. Furthermore, Lokomotiv Moscow have been at the losing end in each of their previous two European games here. And, have not come out on top since their win over this foe back in their opening clash either.
In sharp contrast, Bayer Leverkusen have started to show signs of promise. The visiting contingent got their first taste of success in their last European clash at home which saw them stun Atletico Madrid with a 2-1 scorecard.
In addition, the away side managed to bring a three-match losing streak on the road to a halt, in their previous outing in the Bundesliga. The squad pulled off a convincing 2-0 win over Wolfsburg in that latter matchup. Hence, Bayer Leverkusen are certainly sizing up to be the favorites to secure all three points in this one.
Also, Lokomotiv Moscow have conceded two goals or more in four of their last seven matchups on home soil. The home side are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Champions League as well and have conceded two goals each in their clashes here with group members Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen have not failed to find the back of the net in their past five games on the trot. Taking into account that their previous h2h meeting also witnessed both teams find the back of the net together, expect the two sides to get their names on the scoresheet this week as well.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen Betting tips

  • Bayer Leverkusen to win @ 2.00 (1/1)
  • Both teams to score @ 1.70 (7/10).

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen prediction arrives ahead of the 5th round fixture of the Champions League group stage at RZD Arena in Moscow. We are about to see a match between two teams that desperately need a victory. Therefore, be sure to read my match preview to get the best betting tips and correct score predictions for this fixture.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen Betting Tips

Lokomotiv Moscow didn’t shine in the recent period. They had 6 consecutive games without a victory across all competitions. In the last match, they finally won against not so strong opponent in the Russian Premier League but still, any kind of victory is good before the important match. In the UCL they are in the 3rd place with only 1 win in the opening round and then 3 losses in a row. Their goal difference is 4:7, so we can expect some goals.
On the other hand, Bayer Leverkusen is in good form recently. After a few bad results, they started to play better and in the last 5 games, they recorded 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. In Group D they are still at the bottom, they also had 1 win and 3 losses like their upcoming rival but the difference is that they first had 3 consecutive losses, and their 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid was in the previous round. So far they allowed the same number of goals as Lokomotiv but they scored one less. Bayer Leverkusen like to play aggressive in attack and their main objective for the match will be to score at least one goal. They will try to score from the first minute, and we expect from them to score in both halves.

Lokomotiv Moscow Latest Team News

Their manager Yuri Semin can’t count on four of his men to appear in this match. Boris Rotenberg, Darko João Mário, Jefferson Farfán and Luka Djordjevic are all ruled out due to injury. Grzegorz Krychowiak netted the brace in the last match and got his name on the scoresheet 8 times this season, so he is the man to watch in the home team.

Bayer Leverkusen Latest Team News

The visiting team has to deal with the absence of several players for the upcoming clash, their captain Lars Bender, Daley Sinkgrave, Kai Havertz and Joel Pohjanpalo are all ruled out due to injury. The player you should keep an eye on in the home team is Kevin Volland, who scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists so far.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Bayer Leverkusen Correct Score Prediction

In recent years these two sides have clashed on 2 occasions, and each of them had one triumph, Bayer won 3-1 and in their most recent H2H match 2 months ago Lokomotiv was victorious away 1-2. I believe that we are in for another tight clash with goals on both sides, and since the visitors are currently in better form, and are recording better results, I’m going to back the option of their triumph.

Tottenham vs Olympiacos Prediction & Match Preview

Tottenham vs Olympiacos
Champions League
Date:  Tuesday, 26 November 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London).
In a surprise turn of events, Jose Mourinho has taken over the managerial reigns of Tottenham. A gaffer, who is no less than a veteran in guiding teams to Champions League glory.
With Olympiacos yet to prove themselves worthy of a ticket to the next round, Spurs are likely to grant Mourinho his maiden European win, as a manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, no later than this week.

Tottenham vs Olympiacos Head to head (h2h)

Their only recent clash was the reverse fixture of this matchup which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Tottenham vs Olympiacos Prediction

Despite making it all the way to the final of the Champions League last time around, it goes without saying that Tottenham are yet to emulate their previous winning mentality. The hosts are currently in contention to grab the final ticket of progression and are sitting second on the table, four points behind table-toppers Bayern.
It is also worth mentioning that the home side have not been faring any better back in their domestic campaign and are currently dwelling in the bottom half of the ladder.
Be that as it may, it needs saying that Spurs have been at the losing end just twice on home soil this season. Furthermore, to their defense, one of those defeats was against the mighty Bayern Munich.
On the other hand, Olympiacos have not got off to the best of starts in Group B. The visitors are on a three-match losing streak at the moment and have slumped to the bottom of the cluster as well, with no more than a measly point to their name.
In addition, the away side have just one win to boast of from their previous five outings in all competitions. With both home advantage at hand, and the arrival of Jose Mourinho in the dugout, the odds are certainly stacked in favor of a comfortable win for Tottenham in this one.
Furthermore, irrespective of the result, the hosts have scored two goals or more in each of their group clashes so far. Meanwhile, Olympiacos have conceded five goals from their previous two European outings alone. Given that their last h2h meeting also witnessed over 2.5 goals on the charts, it is certainly well within reason to expect a high scoring affair to unfold this week.

Tottenham vs Olympiacos Betting tips

  • Tottenham -1 Asian Handicap @ 1.50 (1/2)
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1.50 (1/2).

Red Star Belgrade vs Bayern Munich Prediction & Match Preview

Red Star Belgrade vs Bayern Munich
Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 26 November 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Stadion Rajko Mitić (Belgrade).
Bayern Munich have been demanding respect in their Group B clashes so far. Taking into account the red hot form they are on, it goes without saying that another humiliating defeat is certainly on the cards for Red Star Belgrade come Tuesday.

Red Star Belgrade vs Bayern Munich Head to head (h2h)

  • Their last clash saw Bayern register a 3-0 victory.
  • Red Star Belgrade have recorded a win just once in their previous four matchups. (W-1, D-1, L-2).
  • Both teams have found the back of the net together in three of their past four encounters.
  • All of their last four fixtures have featured more than 2.5 goals on the charts.

Red Star Belgrade vs Bayern Munich Prediction

Red Star Belgrade have bounced back from the 4-0 drubbing they received at the hands of Tottenham in their last European clash at home and are currently unbeaten in their past two games in all competitions.
However, had it not been for the dismal Olympiacos, who are yet to taste success in their campaign, the hosts would have slumped to the bottom of Group B. At the moment, the hosts are sitting third with no more than three points to their name.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich have been merciless towards their foes so far. The visitors cruised to the top of the ladder with four wins out of four, after their most recent European matchup ended in a 2-0 win over Olympiacos at home.
In all honesty, the German outfit are showing no signs of slowing down, even on the road. The away side have stumbled just once away from home this season, and have been recording back to back wins in their last two outings in the Champions League.
It is also worth mentioning that Red Star Belgrade are part of a far less competitive domestic campaign and do not possess the firepower to take on teams of this stature. The fact that their only defeat at home so far was at the hands of Tottenham, certainly stands as a testament to the aforementioned.
With Bayern slotting three unanswered goals past this foe in the reverse fixture, it is certainly safe to count on the visitors to secure all three points in this one, even with a -1.5 handicap on them.
In addition, the visitors have not been shy about racking up their goals tally. And have scored ten goals from their last two trips across Europe. Furthermore, their previous h2h meeting here was also a high scoring clash with over 3.5 goals on the charts.
Given that the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry will be featuring in Bayern’s front line, by all means, expect goals to be in abundance this week.

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid Prediction & Match Preview

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid
Champions League
Date:  Tuesday, 26 November 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue:  Allianz Stadium (Turin).
The top two sides of Group D square up against each other this week, with a win for Juventus potentially bolstering their chances of progressing as table toppers. And, with Atletico hardly showing any conviction on the road, the hosts are favorites to do just that, come Tuesday.

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid Head to head (h2h)

  • Their last clash ended in a 2-2 draw.
  • Both teams have found the back of the net together just once in their previous five fixtures.
  • Only one of their last five meetings have finished as a stalemate.
  • There have been more than 2.5 goals on the charts in two of their past three encounters.
  • Atletico Madrid have registered the win twice in their previous five matchups. (W-2, D-2, L-1).

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

As expected Juventus are currently leading Group D, with a healthy three-point cushion over second-placed Atletico Madrid. The hosts are on an impressive form at the moment and are yet to stumble this season as well.
It is also worth mentioning that Juventus have been putting nothing but their best foot forward in their clashes at home. As of now, the home side are sporting an eight-match winning streak at the Allianz Stadium, with two of those victories coming against fellow group members Lokomotiv Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen.
On the other hand, Atletico Madrid were handed a shock 2-1 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen in their last trip across Europe. The visitors are now without a win in their past four outings in all competitions and have just three to boast of from their last eight this season.
Hence, it certainly goes without saying that securing the bragging rights on the road has not been Atletico Madrid’s cup of tea. It is also worth mentioning that their previous trip to Turin did not end well for the visitors either, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring three unanswered goals past them.
Given the stellar run of form that Juve are on, especially in their own backyard, Atletico Madrid’s chances of salvaging even a point in this one are certainly looking bleak.
Furthermore, Maurizio Sarri’s men have been consistent in racking up the goals tally, and have scored two goals or more in seven of their last eight games here. Taking into account that all of their group clashes at the Allianz Arena so far have also featured over 2.5 goals on the charts, expect no dearth of goals when the two sides lock horns this week.

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid Betting tips

  • Juventus to win @ 2.00 (1/1)
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 2.20 (6/5).

Manchester City vs Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction & Match Preview

Manchester City vs Shakhtar Donetsk
UEFA Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 26 November 2019
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Etihad Stadium (Manchester).
Manchester City are probably in revenge mode. After the setback they experienced in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola’s men will be determined to make their European campaign a grand success. Considering their home advantage, and their overall domination over Shakhtar, the win should probably side with the Citizens.

Manchester City vs Shakhtar Donetsk Head-to-head (h2h)

  • The reverse fixture ended in a 0-3 win on the road, for City.
  • The Manchester outfit is on a three-match winning run.
  • Pep Guardiola’s men recorded a combined scorecard of 12-0, from the past three games.
  • Shakhtar have failed to keep a clean sheet against this opponent in the last five meetings.
  • The combined scorecard for the previous two clashes at this stadium is 8-0, in favor of City.

Manchester City vs Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction

Manchester City lost what was practically an EPL title-decider, or probably a fixture that could set the tone for the rest of their league campaign, the last match-day. At the famed Anfield, City had to endure two quick-fire goals from Fabinho, and Mohammed Salah, which put Liverpool firmly in control. Later, Sadio Mane added the third at the start of the second half, to take the three points on offer, with a 3-1 scorecard.
Meanwhile, Shakhtar had to dig deep to find the win at their home, against Dynamo Kyiv, the previous game week. They had scored an early goal but found it hard to improve their lead. Towards the end of the fixture, the hosts were reduced to ten on the field, and they still held on against Dynamo, to register a slender 1-0 victory.
This match-day, the overwhelming favorites are easily Manchester City. They are already at the top of the table, and they even had recorded a 0-3 win on the road in the reverse fixture. Moreover, they have the home advantage, and this will be an opportunity for the team to make a statement after their loss to Liverpool.
In addition, the Citizens have dominated this rival in such an authoritarian manner, that the combined scorecard for the prior three meetings is 12-0. At this venue, in fact, Guardiola’s men are yet to concede a goal as well.
Taking into account all these factors, rightfully expect a huge and convincing victory for Manchester City.
