Geraldo set for CD 1º de Agosto return – Report

Angola International, , is reportedly on the verge of leaving Al Ahly to return to his former side 1º de Agosto just one year after having left the club.
Geraldo joined Al Ahly during the 2018-2019 season and despite having had a solid start to his life with the Cairo giants, the Angolan’s performances dropped massively throughout the second season.

The 28-year-old failed to make any real impact with the Red Devils this season, making only 10 appearances across all competitions and making zero direct goal contributions.
As a result he’s been constantly linked with a move away from the Red Castle and according to Angolan news outlet Jornal de Angola he’s closer than ever to return to 1º de Agosto.
The report suggests that Al Ahly manager, , isn’t keen on keeping the player, while the latter would prefer to rejoin Brazilian side Coritiba where he won the Brazilian second division title.

However, Geraldo has already been contacted by the Angolan giants and is currently in talks for a possible transfer, per the report, but it’s still unclear whether it will be a loan move or a permanent one.
Geraldo initially joined the Red and Blacks in 2016 and mainly impressed on the continental level during his three years as he helped them reach the CAF Champions League semi-finals in 2018.
