Man City’s Ederson Wants A Goal

Keeper Determined To Score Before End Of Season





He’s best known for stopping the opposition from scoring, but Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson wants to become the first goalkeeper to score a Premier League goal while playing for a title-winning team.
The Portugese keeper was urged forward by the fans to take a penalty on Sunday, and Ederson appears to have been up for it. “I heard them chanting my name, asking me to take the penalty but Gabriel went there. Unfortunately he missed it and Bernardo happily scored. But if the manager had asked me to go there, definitely I’d score.”
Ederson has had an incredible first season with City, winning the League Cup and the Premier League, but he has also made some outstanding saves, including a double save at Old Trafford with the blues 2-1 up. He also suffered injury at home to Liverpool when Sadio Mane’s right boot connected with Ederson’s face, leading to him being replaced by Claudio Bravo.
