Inter striker Romelu Lukaku says he is ‘a man on the mission’ with ‘all this energy inside me’ from Belgium’s semi-final exit at the 2018 World Cup.
Lukaku became Inter’s most expensive signing last summer, when he arrived from Manchester United in a deal worth €80m.
He was also part of the Belgium side who finished third at the 2018 World Cup, narrowly losing to champions France in the last four.
“I’m a man on a mission,” he told Bleacher Report.
“The disappointment of being eliminated from the World Cup was huge, in part because we came close to an incredible objective for a national team of only 11 million inhabitants.
“It hit me. When I moved to Inter, I had all this energy inside me, which had grown in the meantime.
“And I was a man on a mission. I said to myself: ‘OK, this is me, let’s go.’”
The 27-year-old has scored 23 goals in 35 appearances for the Nerazzurri this season.
