Hammarby have revealed that Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic attended a training session with the Swedish club during the current lockdown in Italy.
The club’s sporting director Jesper Jansson confirmed the 38-year-old, who owns 25 per cent of the club, took part in the training session behind closed doors.
“Zlatan was at home in Stockholm with his family and felt that he wanted to touch the ball again,” Jansson told Hammarby’s official website. “We have carried out voluntary training sessions but on Monday we will return to the group sessions and Zlatan is welcome to train with us.”
The football pitches are not accessible in Italy at the moment and the former Sweden international’s future at Milan is still uncertain, as his contract with the Rossoneri expires this summer.
