Liverpool on Saturday beat AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at home to come within three more wins of the English Premier League title.
The Reds are now at to the top, twenty-five points clear of second-placed Manchester City for its first league title in 30 years.
In the Premier League, Manchester City will now face Manchester United in an away game on Sunday.
Bournemouth scored the opening goal in the ninth minute with Callum Wilson while Liverpool responded with Mohamed Salah in the 25th minute and Sadio Mane in the 33rd minute.
Liverpool's this latest victory came after they lost three consecutive away games in all competitions for the first time since November 2014 after Chelsea knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup on Tuesday.
The English Premier League leaders lost just twice in 41 matches in all competitions until two weeks ago.
Since winter break, Liverpool suffered a UEFA Champions League 1-0 defeat with Atletico Madrid on Feb. 18, a 3-0 loss at Watford on Feb. 29, and its 2-0 loss that caused its FA Cup exit on Tuesday.
Liverpool's 44-game unbeaten run in the English Premier League ended last Saturday at the hands of Watford.
They had suffered their first Premier League defeat this season and missed a chance to become the second club to end a season without losing a match.
Liverpool remain 25 points ahead in the table with 82 points in 29 games, followed by Manchester City with 57 points in 27 games and Leicester City with 50 points in 28 games.
