Barcelona vs Real Madrid combined XI: Messi and Ronaldo in – but superstar trio miss out

BARCELONA host Real Madrid in a El Clasico showdown this evening – but which stars would make the cut in a joint XI?

Philippe Coutinho completed his £142million transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona in the January transfer window, but he is yet to set La Liga alight.
The Brazilian is expected to fill the boots of departing legend Andres Iniesta, but for now, Coutinho has missed out on the cut for our Barcelona vs Real Madrid combined XI.
He isn't the only superstar to be omitted from the glittering team, with several Real Madrid aces missing after a disappointing league campaign from Zinedine Zidane's men.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi obviously merit their places in the line-up, but who else joins them in the Express Sport combined XI?

REAL MADRID can destroy Barcelona's hopes of an unbeaten season this weekend – but who will start?

Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit and raring to go, while Isco could return to the starting XI following injury.
Acraf Hakimi could start at right-back in the continued absence of Dani Carvajal who was injured in the first leg of their Champions League tie against Bayern Munch.
