In today's 'On This Day', the focus is on three important games in the club's history, including a massive three points towards the end of the 2015/16 season.
League One lift
After being crowned champions the week before against Southend United, Leicester City hosted Scunthorpe United on a Friday evening.
Despite the 30,542 crowd, Scunthorpe were aiming to steal the three points and confirm their play-off bid.
However, Michael Morrison bundled the ball in after Steve Howard's header was blocked to hand the hosts the lead.
Paul Hayes converted Martyn Woolford's low cross before the Irons turned the game on it's head when Grant McCann converted a penalty.
Morrison made sure the occasion wasn't ruined with another in the 77th minute.
Ruthless Foxes restore eight-point lead
Back in the 2015/16 season, Leicester hosted Swansea City in a game most supporters were not confident about.
This was because Jamie Vardy was suspended after receiving a red card against West Ham the previous week.
However, Claudio Ranieri's men scored four times for the first time since the opening day of the campaign and eased past the Welsh-club.
Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring after Ashley Williams' poor clearance before Leonardo Ulloa headed Danny Drinkwater's free-kick in.
Ulloa scrambled the ball over the line in the second-half after Jeffrey Schlupp was denied twice to make it 3-0.
Substitution, Marc Albrighton, made it 4-0 to conclude an emphatic performance by the Foxes, requiring a maximum five points to be crowned champions of England.
Slim lifeline for Foxes
Manchester City travelled to the Walkers Stadium in 2004, facing a Leicester City side who had lost their previous four games.
After coming out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture, the Foxes' chance of staying up required three points on the day. Manchester City were also in need of the points, as they too were facing relegation from the Premier League.
However, Michael Tarnant's free-kick handed Manchester City the lead on the brink of half-time.
James Scrowcroft headed past David James after acknowledging an awkward bounce from Marcus Bent's pass.
The Foxes were then provided with a huge opportunity to steal the three points towards the end when Andy D'Urso rewarded them a penalty after Muzzy Izzet was brought down by Tarnant.
Disagreement from the visitors wasn't hidden, with Steffen Freund (who had been substituted) re-entered the pitch to argue with the referee after Izzet had hit the ball with his hand.
All the drama was for nothing though, as Paul Dickov saw his penalty saved by James.
King seals top six position
Andy King's 63rd-minute winner at Deepdale meant Nigel Pearson's men confirmed their play-off spot in the first season back at the Championship.
Lloyd Dyer, James Vaughan and Jack Hobbs all missed big chances early on, but King stood out throughout.
After collecting the ball on the halfway line, the Welshman's driven run concluded in a curling effort past Wayne Henderson.
