Rivaldo: 'Messi won't go to Inter'

Former Milan star Rivaldo doesn’t think Lionel Messi will leave Barcelona ‘for another European club’ amid the recent link with Inter.
“Inter President Massimo Moratti said he could bring Lionel Messi to the club to resume the personal rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo in Italy, but as I have always claimed, I don’t think the Argentine will leave Barcelona for another European club,” Rivaldo told Betfair.
Messi has a clause in his contract letting him move for free this summer, but the former Barcelona star Rivaldo has claimed he would only move to a different continent and excludes Inter as a possibility for the Argentina international.
“I don’t think he has any reasons to leave Spain, but if he will bid his farewell one day, then Messi could sign for a Chinese club or go to the MLS.
“But only when he stops being decisive in Catalonia. Even if a transfer to Inter could be financially convenient for the player, I believe it would not be enough to convince him and I think it is mostly propaganda, rather than a real possibility of an operation in the next transfer market.
“Obviously, Inter are a great European side, that has bought many excellent players in the past and has been able to win important titles, but as far as I’m concerned, I don’t imagine Messi moving as long as he is at the top level at Barcelona.”
