Pep Guardiola has signed a new two-year extension as Manchester City manager.
Guardiola was out of contract at the end of next season but the new deal extends his stay at the Etihad Stadium until June 2021.
It was thought that Guardiola would be unlikely to commit beyond a 12-month extension to the three-year deal he signed in the summer of 2016.
However, the former Bayern and Barcelona man has pledged his long-term future to the club will continue the ‘City project’ for at least five years.
