Brazil defender João Miranda says that the World Cup is coming at the best possible time for him. The 31 year old has been a mainstay of Tite’s side, who have only conceded 5 goals since September 2016.
The Inter Milan centre half missed out on the 2010 and 2014 World Cup squads, but he has made himself an integral part of Tite’s starting XI. “I think the World Cup is coming at the best possible moment for me," Miranda told FIFA's website.
“I felt I had a good chance of going to the last two World Cups, but I really feel like I'm much better prepared this time around. There is a big difference.
“As a supporter and as someone who is very fond of tactics, I know that what counts above all is an organized system, with everyone following the same philosophy. Everyone plays a part.”
