It is quite obvious that Chelsea are still sniffing around for a new manager. Antonio Conte is likely to be out of Stamford Bridge by end of season and club owner Roman Abramovich has added Laurent Blanc to the list of potential successors to take up the place of the Italian Manager.
Last season’s Premier League champions are expected to say a final goodbye to their current boss though club officials will prefer he freely walks through exit so they can avoid paying off £9m as compensation.
The Blues has been linked with several managers to replace Conte ahead of the summer and according to Metro, Blanc has become the lead name in the search to secure the spot. The former France boss has been out of managerial duties from 2016 and has been out of contract since then.
The West London outfit will need to hasten their plans to land Blanc as other clubs including Everton and Juventus would move in for him should boss Max Allegri exit the Turin club next summer.
