MLS teams set to return to small group training starting on June 1

Atlanta United and Sporting Kansas City are the first two MLS teams to announce they will return to voluntary small group training on Monday after each received league approval to do so.
On Thursday, MLS announced clubs may begin to use outdoor team training fields for voluntary small group training sessions in compliance with detailed health and safety protocols that were created in consultation with medical and infectious disease experts.
The sessions must not conflict with local public health official or government policies and provide the ability for players to step up their training while maintaining physical distancing protocols. The league must also sign off on club plans before enacted.
The league-wide moratorium on full team training remains in place through, and including, Monday, June 1.
