Claudio Ranieri's side needed a win at Old Trafford to be crowned champions.
Today's 'On This Day' see's Leicester City VAVEL travel back to 2005 and 2016.
The visit to Old Trafford held huge permutations, whilst the victory in 2005 saw the Foxes home campaign end on a high.
Captain Morgan
The Foxes travelled to Old Trafford knowing that a victory would crown them champions of the Premier League.
Claudio Raneri's side got off to the worst start when Anthony Martial opened the scoring in the 8th minute after a shaky start by the visitors.
Despite falling behind, Leicester equalised when Wes Morgan fought his way through the United defence to head Danny Drinkwater's free-kick past David De Gea.
Both sides had strong penalty appeals turned down as the game reached it's closing stages. Foxes fans were made to sweat as Drinkwater was shown a second yellow card.
The 1-1 draw meant the title would be confirmed if Tottenham Hotspur failed to beat Chelsea the following evening.
Home victory
Following a 1-0 victory over Derby County a week prior, Leeds United travelled to the Walkers Stadium for the Foxes last home game of the campaign.
With their Championship status confirmed already, the game lacked the tempo that the normal mid-table tie would offer.
Dion Dublin headed Gareth William's corner past Neil Sullivan in a first-half the Foxes dominated. David Connolly should have extended the lead when he smashed the post.
Into the second-half, Stephen Hughes, Lilian Nalis and Williams missed the chance to double the scoreline.
Connolly did extend the lead when he tapped Hughes's cross into the empty net.
Leeds did improve and had a Marlon King penalty saved by Ian Walker after Paddy McCarthy brought Matthew Spring down.
