Gor Mahia forward Juma Balinya tipped to join South African side

Uganda Cranes and Gor Mahia forward is close to joining South African top side Polokwane City, Ugandan media reports.
Balinya has been at the Kenyan champions since December 2019 after leaving Tanzania's Yanga SC.
Ugandan publication Ducor Sports reports that the 27-year-old is on the verge of putting pen to paper, but that will depend on when the current coronavirus crisis eases.
There have been reports that Gor Mahia is facing a mass exodus of players as it experiences a financial crunch. The news has drawn interest from regional clubs and Ethiopia's St. Georges is said to have inquired about Balinya's status.
“There has been great progress in the talks for a potential move for the player. It is in all likelihood that he will move at the end of the season,” a source told Ducor Sports.
Balinya is the second Ugandan to be linked with a move to the lucrative South African Premier Soccer League. Cranes goalkeeper Ismail Watenga is rumoured to be close to joining former CAF Champions League champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
