El-Hadary reveals what Salah is missing to become Egypt’s best ever

Egypt’s legendary shot-stopper Essam El-Hadary has voiced out his thoughts about what is missing Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah to become the country’s best footballer in its history.
Salah has arguably cemented his name among the best players in the history of Egypt and Africa due to his achievements in the last few years.
The 27-year-old became the first Egyptian player to win the UEFA Champions League in 2019 after defeating Tottenham in the final with Liverpool. He also made the final three-man shortlist for FIFA’s The Best Player of the Year award in 2018 along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, being the first Egyptian in history to reach this milestone.
On international level, Salah led the Egyptian national team to the FIFA World Cup 2018 for the first time in 28 years. However, the Egyptian King has yet to achieve any international trophy with the Pharaohs.
“Salah won prestigious titles with Liverpool. He is a role model to any player in the world. He also participated in the World Cup which is a huge achievement” El-Hadary told Al Kahera Wal Nas channel.
“However what he lacks is winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt to be the best player ever in the history of the Pharaohs.”
The former Roma winger participated twice in AFCON 2017 and 2019. He came close to achieving the African glory in the former before losing in the final to Cameroon.
