Bayern Munich is looking forward to continuing their reign of terror when they welcome struggling Augsburg at Allianz Arena on Sunday lunchtime.
Just another day at the office as Bayern beat Schalke 04 1-0 on Tuesday night, advancing to the DFB Pokal semifinals for the 11th year in a row with Joshua Kimmich getting the match-winner shortly before half-time.
Back in the league, the Bavarians has run over Sinsheim, getting all the points while putting six behind poor Baumann’s back in a game that ended bit controversially; that made for third consecutive league victory for Hansi Flick and his men, ninth in the last ten games which helped them widen the gap over second placed Red Bull Leipzig to three points.
At Allianz Arena, FCB is back to their old self, crushing opponent after opponent with their might, sending them home with multiple goals in the net; they’re on an unbeaten streak since the first days of December, getting win after win with only Leipzig holding them back to 0-0 draw and surviving to tell the tale.
Augsburg gave it their all, fighting back twice but ultimately were left empty handed after a thrilling match against Borussia Monchengladbach ended 3-2, which made for their first ever home defeat to Gladbach in the Bundesliga.
Crisis among Fuggerstadter deepens as this made for their third defeat in last four games, sixth in last eight as Martin Schmidt’s pupils slowly slips down the table; at the moment, they’re occupying 13th place on Bundesliga table, still six points away from relegation battle but unless they snap out of it and start picking up points, it will become their reality in three to four rounds down the line.
On the road, they’re as good as their recent run tells you; since their fluke win over Hoffenheim, Fuggerstadter are back on factory settings as they’ve recorded four straight losses, latest one being 2-0 defeat at Leverkusen, a result that greatly flatters them as it could’ve ended in double digits which wouldn’t be a wonder since Augsburg rates among the worst visiting side in the league, with only Fortuna below them.
Lucas Hernandez, Jerome Boateng, Robert Lewandowski, Kingsley Coman and Ivan Perisic are among players unavailable to Herr Flick for this game with Simon Asta and Julian Schieber being only certain absentee for the visitors.

Bayern Munich vs Augsburg Prediction
There’s one clear and obvious victor in this encounter, absolutely no doubt about it. The Bavarians are once more that feared, meat grinding machine and Augsburg as they currently are stand no chances in this, generously called, duel.
And there will be goals. Lewandowski might be on a break but with this Bayern, danger is coming from all lines, as Hoffenheim learned the hard way one week ago. Augsburg isn’t exactly known as great defensive side, their clashes with Bayern often produce ridiculous scorelines, over 3.5 is a margin they’ve easily passed seven times in last nine meetings so there’s no reason to think this Sunday will end up differently.
