South Africa-Top defender to enter transfer market

One of the PSL's most experienced defenders will be available to join any club of his choice when his release papers are finalised.
Former SuperSport United, Platinum Stars, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City centre-back Tshepo Gumede is set to be released by AmaZulu.
Usuthu have already released Ovidy Karuru and Mhlengi Cele, who have joined Stellenbosch and Richards Bay respectively.
AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela has given an update on player movements in the January transfer window, which will include Gumede's exit.
"We are negotiating to come to a settlement with him [Gumede]," Sokhela confirmed.
"We've spoken openly with him that this is not ideal for him, he needs to go find a new home and hopefully we will conclude with something.
"There might be one or two movements in the next one or two days, we are finalising those things.
"One it's going to be a termination, one or two could be loans moves, especially for younger players so they can gain game-time in the GladAfrica Championship."
Sokhela also revealed the club tried to negotiate with Royal Eagles to bring back Somila Ntsundwana to beef up their squad.
"We've agreed with Royal Eagles to loan Ntsundwana until the end of the season. There was interest to bring him back but unfortunately they were not really keen to do that and it's understandable,
"We also don't want to trample them as he's their important player. We will stick to the deal [of a loan until the end of the season]."
