Torino vs Genoa Prediction
Torino brought their two-match winless run to a halt last week by pulling off a shock 2-0 win over AS Roma on the road. Despite being heavily tipped as the underdogs in that latter clash, the hosts managed to keep their foes at bay throughout the entire ninety minutes, while a brace from Andrea Belotti ensured all the spoils went their way.
It is also worth mentioning that the home side have admitted defeat just once in their past five games back in the top flight.
On the other hand, Genoa picked up what was only their third win in the Serie A, and just their fifth of the season, by taking down Sassuolo at home with a 2-1 scorecard. The visitors are yet to get into their stride and are currently just two points shy of hitting rock bottom in the first division.
Piling on even more misery, Genoa have been branded as the worst away side in the cluster too. Miserably, they are the only side in the Serie A that are yet to have a taste of success on the road.
Furthermore, the guests have not secured the bragging rights in any of their past seven visits to this venue either. As such, Genoa’s chances of coming away with the win are certainly looking bleak.
Additionally, goals have not been hard to come by when these two sides lock horns. Four of their past six h2h meetings here have witnessed over 2.5 goals on the final scorecards.
Moreover, as aforementioned, the visitors have been dismal in their outings so far. They have conceded twenty-four goals on the road in the Serie A alone, which is five more than the second-worst tally.
Hence, it is certainly well within reason to expect Torino to turn this fixture into a high scoring affair.
