Brisbane: Ulsan Hyundai sealed third place in Group E of the 2017 AFC Champions League on Wednesday as the club from Korea Republic handed Australia’s Brisbane Roar a 3-2 defeat.
Jamie MacLaren scored twice for the home side, but his goals were not enough to deny Ulsan the three points, with Jamie Young fumbling Seo Myung-won’s ninth minute shot over the line before MacLaren’s brace in the 18th and 37th minutes.
But goals in the 54th minutes and 75th minutes from Nam Hee-cheol and Kim Yong-jin ensured Ulsan ended a disappointing campaign on a high, with Brisbane finishing bottom of the group.
