'Time to silence his critics' - Liverpool fans excited by one aspect of Blackburn friendly

Naby Keita has got Liverpool fans excited after producing a man of the match performance in his latest run-out ahead of the Premier League’s return.
The top tier gets back underway on June 17, with the Reds back in action a few days later on June 21 as they face Everton in the Merseyside derby.
The Reds made light work of their Championship opponents as they warmed up for their return to action next week with a 6-0 friendly win at Anfield.
Keita struck the second of the afternoon, with Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamon scoring either side of him as the hosts went into half-time with a 3-0 lead.
Joel Matip tapped in a fourth after the break, before Ki-Jana Hoever and Leighton Clarkson completed the rout.
It was Keita’s performance though that caught the eye of the majority of Reds, with many proclaiming the Guinea international’s credentials ahead of next week’s derby.
Keita has so far struggled to make a real impact since make the move to Anfield from RB Leipzig in 2018.
Injuries have often curtailed his efforts to nail down a place in Jurgen Klopp’s side, with his runs in the team often being followed by lengthy absences.
Liverpool fans though are confident after his showing at Anfield that, if he can stay fit, he’ll take the rest of the season by storm.
Keita will hope to be able to produce that same form when the Reds get back to action next week, with the Premier League title firmly in their sights.
They begin with a short trip across Stanley Park to Goodison Park where, should Manchester City slip up against Arsenal in their first game back, they could secure their crown at the first time of asking.
Should that not come to fruition, their next opportunity to claim their first title since 1990 will come against Crystal Palace at Anfield the following Wednesday (June 24).
A trip to the Etihad Stadium follows on July 2, by which time Klopp and his men will hope to have wrestled the title away from Pep Guardiola’s side.
