Real Madrid’s next obstacle in the cruise towards La Liga title will be the team from Mestalla. Los Blancos have mixed results in the past against Valencia, so this is certainly the most exciting Saturday’s confrontation.
Real Madrid
After the defeat in El Clasico, Real Madrid completely outclassed Deportivo La Coruna with 2-6, despite Zinedine Zidane fielded his B squad. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid collected 78 points so far, but Madridians have a game in hand, against Celta Vigo at Balaidos.
Los Blancos scored at least two goals in 12 out of last 13 fixtures played at Santiago Bernabeu. They suffered their first La Liga defeat of the season in El Clasico a week ago; aside from the sole defeat, Real Madrid registered 12 victories and 4 draws.
Valencia
The guests are heavily struggling away from Mestalla. However, in the previous round, Real Sociedad beat them 2-3 in front of their own crowd. Valencia won only one out of last 7 games on the road in the domestic league.
In 17 away matches this season, Valencia were beaten on 10 occasions while managing to win only 4.
Real Madrid vs Valencia: Head-to-head
In December, Los Blancos were stunned at Mestalla as Valencia bested them 2-1. Real Madrid scored at least two goals in the last four meetings at Santiago Bernabeu against Valencia. However, the guests are on the even better scoring run against their opposition as they managed to net at least two goals in the last seven games.
Real Madrid vs Valencia: Prediction
Dropping points in Madrid could be very dangerous for Zinedine Zidane’s men, especially against struggling sides such as Valencia. Taking previous encounters into account, we can expect a fruitful match at Santiago Bernabeu.
