Malaga vs Sevilla: Preview and Predictions

Malaga vs Sevilla Match Preview 1st May 2017

Malaga vs Sevilla
Spanish La Liga
Date: Monday, 1st May 2017
Kick off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio La Rosaleda.
The Monday’s match at La Rosaleda will have a much higher significance for Sevilla who are all levelled with Atletico Madrid at the third position in Primera Division.
The fourth-placed team also goes to Champions League, but it is obviously much better to skip the qualifications.
Malaga, on the other side, have nothing to play for in the remaining four games of the season.
Malaga
Jose Michel’s squad seem to be playing much better when they have no imperative. The team took four wins in last five Primera outings.
This includes the 2-0 victory over Barcelona earlier in the month. Malaga’s main strength lies at the back because the team kept clean sheets in each of the matches during the four-won streak.
Sevilla
Sevilla have also been enjoying a decent shape lately. The Andalusian Pride finally managed to see an end to the crisis which came after the Champions League elimination to Leicester City.
Jorge Sampaoli’s side has three wins and a draw in last four league fixtures, but maintaining this form will be quite a challenging task at La Rosaleda.

Malaga vs Sevilla: Head to head

Sevilla have been super dominant in the most recent head to head meetings with Malaga.
They have four wins and a draw in last five encounters including a demolishing 4-1 victory at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the first part of the season.

Malaga vs Sevilla: Prediction

Sevilla are favourites to maintain the fine shape, but the value is with Malaga here without doubts.
Malaga have back-to-back wins at La Rosaleda over the likes of Barcelona and Valencia and we’d be nuts to skip the 3/1 odds offered by the bookmakers on the home win in the last match of the round in the top flight of Spanish football.
