UEFA prepare big Rangers reveal over Europa League D-Day

UEFA will on Wednesday confirm the venue for Rangers’ Europa League second-leg showdown with Bayer Leverkusen.
European football’s governing body will convene an executive meeting that will also rubberstamp a mini 12-day tournament to finish off this season’s Champions League.
Lisbon will host the quarter finals, semi finals and final all as one-off games between August 12-23.
The ties will be staged at two different stadiums - the Estadio da Luz and the Estadio Jose Alvalade - and it will be given the green light on Wednesday afternoon.
Chelsea and Manchester City both have outstanding second legs from their last 16 ties with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively and these are likely to be played in their own stadiums.
Manchester United, Wolves and Rangers are also still in the Europa League with that tournament set to be played out in a mini tourney in Germany.

Four cities – Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg and Dusseldorf and Cologne – will play host to completing the competition.
Steven Gerrard’s side trail Leverkusen 3-1 from the first leg at Ibrox – which was the last match to be played on Scottish soil before the coronavirus halted sport.
UEFA are also set to decide on international dates with Scotland unlikely to play before October.
Also on the agenda will be what happens with next season’s Champions League, with Celtic due to begin in the first qualifying round.
It is not yet clear if the qualifiers for UEFA’s premier event as well as the Europa League will be truncated.
