Tottenham vs West Ham Prediction & Match Preview

Tottenham vs West Ham Prediction, Tips and Match Preview of the English Premier League match on Tuesday, 23 June 2020. Kick-off 20:15 UK/ 21:15 CET at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Jose Mourinho has a huge task at hand. As of now, his team is two points below the Europa League cut-off, and four points below the Champions League cut-off. Spurs will have to qualify for at least the latter in order for their season not to be termed as a disaster.
However, they do have some positives going forward. The Blades (currently in possession of the final Europa spot), and the Red Devils (currently in possession of the final CL spot) are taking on each other this game week. And at least one of them will drop points.
In the meantime, Mourinho’s men are supposed to take on a struggling relegation-battler, who are on a losing run on the road since December in league fixtures. As such, expect Tottenham to post a much-needed win this Tuesday.

Tottenham vs West Ham: Head-to-head (h2h)

  • The Spurs won three of the preceding four match-ups.
  • Seven of the former eleven wins had gone to the Spurs.
  • The Hammers conceded three or more goals in two of the previous three fixtures.
  • Nine of the preceding thirteen wins at this venue had gone to the hosts.
  • Four of the prior six match-ups at this stadium saw the visitors conceding two or more goals.

Tottenham vs West Ham: Prediction

Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw at home the last match-day by Manchester United. The hosts were leading 1-0 for a very long time, before a penalty by Bruno Fernandez in the 81st minute brought them to level terms.
In the meantime, the Hammers lost 0-2 at home against Wolves. The home team did hold off the Wolves onslaught for over an hour, before they were broken down.
As things stand, the Spurs are easily the favorites. They have been one of the best teams in the competition for a long time, and they are desperately going after the European spots – whereas their counterparts are struggling to avoid relegation.
On top of that, the Hammers were winless in ten of their previous eleven overall match-ups, and are on a 100% losing run on the road in the PL since December. Moreover, the Spurs have a good h2h record at this venue in the recent past as well.
Taking into account these observations, it’s concluded that Jose Mourinho is going to do everything in his power to secure the much-needed three points for Tottenham.
