First off, we hope you enjoyed our team-by-team MLS Mount Rushmore series. It was a lot of fun for the MLS Extratime crew to put together, and we hope it gave you a fun diversion from these tough times like it gave us.
To that end, after much deliberation from the Extratime crew, we have arrived at our MLS All-Time Mount Rushmore:
From left:
- David Beckham (LA Galaxy: 2007-2012)
- Marco Etcheverry (D.C. United: 1996-2003)
- Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes: 2001-2014, 2016)
- Alphonso Davies (Vancouver Whitecaps: 2016-2018)
It certainly wasn't an easy decision, and there will be lots of room for debate. In fact just yesterday, FOX Soccer analyst and former MLS and U.S. men's national team defender Alexi Lalas joined Extratime to give his own, considerably different selections:
