Nigeria Captain Reacts To Winning First League Title With Barcelona Femeni

Super Falcons skipper Asisat Oshoala has broken her silence since winning her first league title in Europe following the declaration of Barcelona Femeni as the champions of the 2019/2020 Primera División Femenina season.

Oshoala, 25 was sensational during the course of the concluded campaign, scoring 26 goals in all competitions of which 20 were in the league for the club.

Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) decided to call off the non-professional football season in Spain, a move which automatically handed table-topping Barcelona Femeni the title.

Thus, the former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies striker is elated due to the outcome of her season, taking to Twitter to congratulate her teammates, the team's technical crew as well as her fans.

"21 games played, 19 won, 2 draws , 0 defeat , 86 goals for ,6 goals against. Top of the league since game day 3.I'm just gonna say we have the best team @FCBfemeni , congratulations my queens , ever working technical crew , fans all around the world. WE MADE IT ! CHAMPIONS 19/20", she tweeted, alongside a branded photo of the club.


The 2015 BBC Women's Footballer of the Year initially joined the Spanish giants on loan from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian before penning a three-year contract keeping her at the Blaugranes until the end of the 2021-2022 campaign.
