There were another 195 coronavirus deaths in Italy on Monday as the number of active cases drops below 100,000.
Italy launched Phase Two of its pandemic response earlier today, with restrictions partially eased on travel and recreational activities.
The last 24 hours have seen a continuation of the positive trend, with the daily death toll below 200 for the third day running.
The figure for those actively infected has also dropped below 100,000 for the first time since March 29.
As of Monday, there have been 211,938 positive tests of COVID-19 (+1,221), with 99,980 of them currently active (-963).
A total of 82,879 people have recovered (+1225) and 29,079 have died.
Out of the 99,980 active cases, 81,678 are in self-isolation (+242), 16,823 are in hospital with symptoms (-419) and 1,479 are in intensive care (-22).
There have now been 2,191,403 tests, an increase of 37,631 since yesterday.
