Immobile: 'Lazio fans stay at home'

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile appeals to the club’s fans to “stay at home” amidst the on-going Coronavirus.
Immobile gave a lengthy interview to Il Corriere dello Sport on how life has been since Italy went into lockdown nearly two weeks ago.
“I tell our fans to say at home, to suffer, as the people of Lazio know how to do and have always shown,” Immobile told the newspaper.
“We must grit our teeth and soon we will see each other again. I am convinced of it, we will return to embrace each other, to share moments, good or bad, that are sporting, but we will get out of it
“Now however, we must stay at home with our families and take advantage of it, even if the moment is difficult.
“Many people have had to close businesses or risk losing their job due to the virus, they are worried about this and the people who are fighting for life.
“My first thought, after waking up and having breakfast, is now the homework of my daughters, Giorgia and Michela.
“The evening before, or the morning after, the teachers come, and I have to help them study. Then I train, choosing whether to do it in the morning or in the afternoon.
“Sometimes I even do two sessions a day. I’m usually with the family, watching a move, other times I play video games.
“After dinner, in the evening, we play some board games. Life goes on like this. A little slow for us footballers, but spending some time with the family is now beautiful, the positive side of the emergency.
“During the season, between retreats and away matches, we aren’t at home much together, now we have more time and the difference is clear.”
