Mohamed Salah has played down the prospect of the Champions League final being a personal duel between him and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.
The prolific duo are likely to be battling it out for the Ballon d'Or later this year and whoever triumphs in Kiev on May 26 will bolster their chances of being crowned the best player on the planet.
However, Salah, who has scored 11 of his 43 goals this season in Europe, insists the spotlight shouldn't just be on them. The Egyptian winger says he's motivated solely by a burning desire to help Liverpool clinch a sixth European crown.
“It is not going to be a final between Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo,” Salah told beIN Sports Mena.
“I am playing for a great club and we have great players. Qualifying for the final came with great team work, I cannot do it alone.
“I know all of the Arab people wish the best for me and they are happy every time I win, but at the moment I am only thinking about the final and bringing the trophy to Anfield.”
Liverpool sneaked through 7-6 on aggregate after a nervy semi-final second leg against Roma in the Italian capital.
Asked if the Reds' defence was an area of concern ahead of the showdown with Real, Salah added: “Of course not. It is about collective work.
“When we score a goal it's because we are all doing good, when we concede it means we all need to work harder.”
