Ukraine got an important win in their World Cup qualifying group with a narrow victory over Finland which moved them into 2nd place in the standings. Serbia scored in the final stages of their away match against Wales to earn a 1-1 draw and dent the Welsh’s hopes of World Cup qualification for the first time since 1958. They have also recently beat Austria and Moldova and from their last six matches have lost just once.

The draw over Wales meant they leap frogged them into 2nd position in their World Cup group. It’s fair to say that both nations come into this friendly fixture in good spirits and good form.
