Argentina are a team that look out of ideas at the moment. The 3-0 defeat to Brazil away from home last Tuesday is one of the heaviest loss of this campaign, which also put them on a four match win-less streak. Paraguay defeated them at home in the previous round, while two poor sides Peru and Venezuela held Argentina to draws in the previous rounds. They are currently at 6th in the league table, which is a risky position by all means. Brazil and Uruguay at the top with 24 and 23 points are at a wide distance. While Colombia, Ecuador and Chile on 18 to 17 points at 3rd, 4th and 5th positions can be overtaken with a win. Anything other than a win will add further pressure as Paraguay and Peru behind them in the standings are only at a 2 point gap.

Colombia were held to a goal-less draw at home by Chile in the 11th round fixture. They moved up to third in the standings as Ecuador lost their fixture against Uruguay. Argentina are a side in lot of troubles at the moment and they need a win to boost their morale. There is no doubt that they got abundance of quality in the squad. But it is a shame that they hardly look like a team in the football field.

Colombia are no pushovers, they have some quality match winners on their own. However, their poor record in Argentina could dent their chances here. We are expecting a very tight contest on Tuesday and this will be a very tactical battle. And Argentina will certainly get their win, but this will be only by the slightest of the margins.
