Fabio Cannavaro says “life is getting back to normal” in China after his isolation ended, “so this must give us hope in Italy.”
Cannavaro has spent the duration of the coronavirus pandemic in China due to his role as coach of Guangzhou Evergrande.
China is also where the outbreak of COVID-19 originated, but the former Italy captain believes the situation is now under control.
“Hi guys, the quarantine is over for me. This is the document that allows me to travel around China freely,” the 46-year-old waved in an Instagram video.
“I went shopping this morning, I went to the bank and I went out for lunch. People are taking lots of precautions, measuring their temperature and going out with masks and gloves.
“There’s still a lot of attention being given [to the virus], but life is getting back to normal so this must give us hope in Italy.”
