Nevertheless, the home side are unbeaten in their last three games in the Premier League. The Toffees, who at one point looked sure to head into the relegation zone, are now sitting fourteenth on the ladder with nineteen points to their name.

Meanwhile, Burnley will be making the trip to Goodison Park this week on the back of a two-match winning streak. Their previous clash on the road, saw them edge past Bournemouth with a 1-0 scorecard. While at home, they secured all three points against the Magpies after Chris Wood scored the only goal of the game.

It is also worth mentioning that Burnley have looked far from convincing in most of their outings this term. The guests have just two wins to their name so far and have admitted defeat in half of their last four as well.
