Everton are reportedly ready to spend €12m on Oguzhan Ozyakup, with the midfielder claimed to have penned a new deal with Besiktas.
The Turkish international was set to leave his club on a free transfer this summer, with his previous deal reaching its expiry at the end of the season.
However, it appears as though Besiktas have tied him down to a new four-year contract at the club, perhaps with the view of at least receiving a transfer fee for one of their prized assets.
Everton had been heavily linked with a move for Ozyakup and it seems as though Besiktas’ decision to reward him with a new deal has not deterred them from their interest.
It’s claimed by Turkish outlet
Hurriyet that Everton are still willing to pay for the signing of Ozyakup, with his new release clause apparently standing at a mere sum of €12m.
However, this deal will only be feasible for the Toffees if Besiktas can negotiate to exclude the agreement that Arsenal receive 30% of any future transfer fee received for Ozyakup, as per the report.
