Borussia Dortmund will travel to Frankfurt full of confidence as they are looking to complete the perfect week! Thomas Tuchel first manager to claim the super important win over Bayern Munich in the classic of German football, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the difference between the two sides scoring his 12th goal of the season to narrow the gap between the bitter rivals to only three points in the top part of the league standings.
As if the victory over the defending champions was not enough, Borussia Dormund managed to break the Champions League record playing a 8-4 result match with Legia on Tuesday evening to stay at the top of their group! It was the 4th win in a row for Thomas Tuchel and his men, who will have a strong challenge in the visit to Commerzbank-Arena this Saturday since Eintracht Frankfurt are everything but a naïve team, especially when they are playing on home court.
The Croat manager Niko Kovac can be pretty happy with the first part of the season on Eintracht’s bench. His team is undefeated in the last five Bundesliga matches, winning two consecutive games against Koln and Werder Bremen.
The defensive line is looking very solid as Eintracht conceded no more than a single goal in last four league matches. Alex Meier is traditionally their best player, as he is leading the goal scoring list with four goals so far in the competition, while the Mexican striker Marco Fabian has three besides his name!
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund: Head-to-Head Stats
The rivalry will be extended as the teams will face each other for the 89th time in history. Borussia Dortmund have been more successful winning 43 games, but Eintracht Frankfurt have won the last encounter back in May this year when Stefan Aigner scored the only goal of the match at Commerzbank-Arena.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund: Prediction
Eintracht are still undefeated on home court this season. Borussia’s visit will be the second roughest challenge since they have already hosted Bayern Munich holding the reigning champions to a 2-2 draw.
The bookmakers are offering 3/5 on the visitors to claim three points and complete a perfect week, but we would rather go with Under 3.5 goals in the match as the number one betting pick since the hosts have been more than solid at the back in recent games.
