MLS Classics: Real Madrid comes to Chicago for 2017 MLS All-Star Game

Each MLS All-Star Game presented by Target tends to be a spectacle, and matters were no different in 2017 when Real Madrid visited Soldier Field in downtown Chicago. The good news? You can rewatch the whole match today at 4 pm ET.
The Spanish powerhouse trotted out a starting lineup that was highlighted by German midfielder Toni Kroos and Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, only for the cavalry to arrive in the second half when French striker Karim Benzema and Welsh winger Gareth Bale subbed on.
Real Madrid had already taken a 1-0 lead before Dom Dwyer, one of two Commissioner’s Picks, drew the MLS All-Stars level as second-half stoppage time neared. Penalty kicks followed suit, and the pressure was on Stefan Frei to thwart the La Liga club from 12 yards out.
We don’t want to spoil the back and forth, so be sure to check out the stream above and starting lineups below. You can view the full archive of MLS Classics games, too.
