Chelsea and Manchester United will face off this afternoon in a hotly-contested FA Cup final.
The two English sides will battle for England’s most iconic cup competition, and it will define either side’s season. Chelsea and Manchester United have both featured in an FA Cup final recently, with Manchester United defeating Crystal Palace two seasons ago and Chelsea falling at Arsenal last season.
The two sides have both gone without silverware this term, which is incredibly weird to say. They are teams who are used to battling for silverware, but this time out they have been victims of Manchester City’s dominance.
However, one side will get the chance to redeem themselves in this enthralling tie. With both managers being notorious winners, it will be a game to watch for any neutral fan, as the FA Cup final so often is.
You can expect plenty of drama, and hopefully, plenty of goals. Although both sides will be defensively disciplined, on the big stage there is always holes to be exploited, and with the attacking quality on offer, you would bank on it.
There will be a number of key battles, both direct and indirect, which could determine this iconic fixture. There will obviously be more, but these are three which were first arisen to my head. I hope you enjoy.
Without further ado, here is the first match-up which could determine the FA Cup final…
