1. Paul Pogba vs N’Golo Kante
The two Frenchmen have both battled, and worked as teammates in the past, but the latter connection will be put to one side this afternoon.
Paul Pogba will hope to add to his ever-growing popularity by lifting his third honor since arriving in Manchester. N’Golo Kante on the other hand, will be hoping to lift the FA Cup following two consecutive Premier League titles.
The two will face off in midfield, with both adopting different approaches. Pogba will be the most attack-minded of the two, although it won’t be strange to see Kante striving forward with the ball at his feet.
Primarily, one would expect to see Kante try to limit Pogba’s input. He will know all his tricks from their time with the French national team, and he’ll be hoping to put his knowledge to good use. Kante is an annoying midfielder to play against, as he rarely gives you a second on the ball.
Pogba will hope he can brush his countryman aside, though. Especially toward the latter end of this season, the United midfielder has been in exceptional form, and he’ll hope to continue his good work in the FA Cup final.
