Manuel Neuer in Bayern squad for DFB Pokal Final

After months and months of rehab, the best goalkeeper in the world is back!

Per the official Bayern Munich Twitter account, Manuel Neuer will make his long awaited return to the matchday squad this Saturday when Bayern take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal final.
Neuer hasn’t been in the squad since Bayern beat Mainz 4:0 all the way back in September. The Bayern captain has only played three games all season and will not start against Frankfurt. Instead, Sven Ulreich will remain in goal, as he has for a majority of the last 8 months.
His return comes just in time for the World Cup, as Neuer has been included in Jogi Löw’s provisional squad for the tournament, set to kick off in Russia on June 14th. Should he remain healthy and experience no set-backs in the coming weeks, his inclusion seems pretty certain, along with Marc-André ter Stegen and one of Bernd Leno or Kevin Trapp.
Along with Neuer, Kingsley Coman will return to the team after a three-month absence due to injury and Thomas Müller has also made the trip to Berlin after a short training absence due to illness. Arjen Robben, meanwhile, will unfortunately not be fit in time and have miss out on the final game of the season while recovering from an adductor injury.
