As per current form, the Clarets seem the better team. Spurs are on a four-game losing run, while their counterparts are going on an active streak of six unbeaten PL fixtures. Likely, expect the hosts Burnley to be put forth a dominating performance.

Sean Dyche’s men were held to a goalless draw on the road the last match-day, by Newcastle. Despite the dropped two points, it was the fourth unbeaten game in a for the team, and the third clean sheet from the prior four fixtures.

This improvement in form have put the squad in a position to challenge for a Champions League ticket. Ten more match-days remain till the end of the season, and the teams above the Clarets have some tough upcoming fixtures.

As things stand, Dyche’s men seem to be the favorite. They are unbeaten in their last six PL matches on the trot, and had four of those. The team scored two or more goals in four of their last six league matches, and also were unbeaten in four of their previous five home appearances in all competitions.

On the other hand, the Spurs have lost their past four match-ups in a row, and conceded a total of eight goals in the process. Importantly, on the road, the team was winless in 16 of their preceding 20 trips. 

And of their total four away wins this season, two had come against recently promoted teams, one was versus a relegation-battler, and the final one had come in opposition to a team from a much inferior league.

As a result, expect the hosts of the day Burnley to emerge victorious at the Turf Moor. However, do note that Mourinho’s men are still in hunt for a spot in the top-most tier, and are still considered to be one of the elites of English Football.

Moreover, they had won the reverse fixture 5-0, and had historically dominated this opponent in h2h clashes. Taking these information into account, it’s expected that Tottenham will score at least once in the game.
