Two Eastern Conference foes looking to rebound from Week 1 defeats meet at Gillette Stadium on Saturday afternoon when the New England Revolution host Chicago Fire FC in their home opener.
The Revs are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to the Montreal Impact at Stade Olympique. The visitors got off to a positive start when an unmarked Teal Bunbury fired home at the back post in the 13th minute. But Romell Quioto leveled in the 37th minute and Maxi Urruti struck the winner 10 minutes from full time.
Chicago Fire FC were mere minutes from a positive result in their season opener, before Jordan Morris struck for the stoppage-time winner at CenturyLink Field Sunday. After having two goals called back for offside, Fire FC took the lead one minute into the second half on Robert Beric's first MLS goal. The Sounders also had a goal called back, but Morris leveled in the 62nd minute and secured his brace in the third minute of stoppage time.
