Two teams coming off Week 1 wins meet in Frisco when FC Dallas faces the Montreal Impact at Toyota Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
FC Dallas struck twice inside the final half hour to defeat the Philadelphia Union, 2-0, in their home opener last weekend. Zdenek Ondrasek opened the scoring in the 61st minute, taking a pass from Jesus Ferreira and putting a low driven shot past Andre Blake. Jesse Gonzalez was pressed into action to deny Kacper Przybylko the equalizer three minutes later and Paxton Pomykal combined with debutant Tanner Tessmann on a great give-and-go to secure the Dallas win.
The Impact made sure Thierry Henry's MLS coaching debut was a positive one, rallying to defeat the New England Revolution, 2-1, at Stade Olympique last Saturday. After falling behind in the 13th minute, the Impact leveled in the 37th minute through Romell Quoto. Former FC Dallas forward Maxi Urruti scored the game-winner, chipping Matt Turner in the 80th minute.
