South Africa - Chiefs Reveal Lockdown Plans For Stars

Kaizer Chiefs players, like the rest of the country, are currently in lockdown as they look to flatten the COVID-19 curve, and the club have revealed some inside information on their plans.

The Glamour Boys are currently four points clear at the top of the Absa Premiership table with eight games to play, however the suspension of all football in South Africa due to the Coronavirus outbreak means that it remains to be seen how long it will be before they’re in action again.
After Ernst Middendorp spoke out about the suspension recently, he also gave some insight into the way that they’re trying to keep the players in the best shape possible so that they’re ready to roll whenever football does resume.
He told the club’s official website, “Currently, we are working online with the players individually…We have provided them with a platform for their own performance analysis. The players are receiving video clips that they need to watch. We are also discussing challenges with the guys.
“As a coach and as the technical team, we are in touch on a regular basis, talking about the way forward based on the reflection of our games played so far. I am not only using the time to prepare for our return to action, I have also been busy with the review and report of the season as things stand.”

Chiefs are currently on their longest ever trophy drought as they seek to win the league title for the first time since 2014/15.
