Injury update on New York Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence

After staying overnight at an Atlanta-area hospital for observation, New York Red Bullsdefender Kemar Lawrence has been cleared to fly back to the New York area this afternoon, according to a club spokesman.
Lawrence, who left the field on a stretcher after lying motionless for several moments late in the second half of the Red Bulls 3-1 win over Atlanta United, appeared to suffer a head injury. But the Red Bulls say “all tests at the hospital were negative.”
“Kemar is traveling home this afternoon with the athletic trainer that stayed with him,” the spokesman told Pro Soccer USA. “He is upbeat and in good spirits.”
Fox New York sports anchor Tina Cervasio first released an injury update on Twitter around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

There was no update on midfielder Tyler Adams, who was subbed off in the 79th minute after swelling in his right knee. He will be re-evaluated this afternoon following travel.
“His knee just started to swell a little bit,” Red Bulls coach Jesse Marsch said after the match. “It felt fine, but again, we wanted to be precautionary and make sure that we weren’t stressing anything.
“They’ve done a bunch of tests and they feel like it’s strong and healthy, and he feels fine. It was just weird to have a little bit of swelling. It could be the turf, it could be a lot of things. We’re hopeful that he’s totally fine.”
