Cristiano offers Tax Office €14m

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered the Spanish Tax Office (Hacienda) €14m, according to El Mundo.
The Real Madrid star has submitted a letter through his lawyer, Jose Antonio Choclan, in an attempt to close the investigation he has been subjected to for alleged tax fraud.
The reports states that the Portuguese has offered this amount and also recognised, for the first time, the four fiscal crimes of which he is accused.
The prosecutor’s office accuses him of an alleged fraud of €14,768,897.85, while the Tax Agency requires that the entire amount be returned plus the corresponding fine, which in total would be €25,693,315.39.
The player’s first offer to pay €3.8m was rejected as being “very insufficient”.
